Can I just say: Thank you for stating the name of the lens at the start of the video! I've been watching some of your past videos and it has been infuriating that sometimes the only way to know which lens you're talking about is to hope you mention it somewhere 13 minutes in, or by clicking your referral links. I love the excellent insightful and informative content, and it's been great to discover obscure lenses through your reviews. I do understand it can actually be a good draw for viewers to not give brand-based prejudices before you've had a chance to talk about the lens. I can see the appeal in that. Still, I'm glad that you're mentioning now the name in the start of the video. Adding them to the descriptions would make me subscribe.

OK Mark, while your talking lenses, I got an adapter from EF/EF-S to R mounts. So as a senior getting back in to pictures and video, ( stated out a long time ago with a AE-1). My question is I want to get a general duty zoom lens. So, what to you recommend?

I do close ups of electronics and this lens seems ideal for what I’m doing. I have a Canon M50 Mk ii. Does this lens fit? If not, is there an adapter or speed booster that will could use to make it work on my Canon M50 Mk ii??

I’m afraid not. You can use EF mount lenses on an RF mount camera through adapters, but I think there are no adapters for using RF mount lenses with EF mount cameras.

Can anyone tell me how this is a different lens than the Laowa 25mm lens? Does it have a different optical formula? Or is it just optimized for mirrorless mounts (making Laowa's 2.5-5x magnification become 2-5x magnification)?

I don’t have any budget recommendations at this stage, nothing I have tested. It’s a good question though, I’ll see what I can find. I have something coming up, that I expect to be pretty special, but it’s $699, so not really budget, if that’s what you’re after.

@@markwiemels yeah i saw your video on that 28mm but where i live there is no retailer so i can't get my hand on the 35mm so easily. i am currently using the 40mm f5.6 but if i can get one of the 35mm f1.4 it will be awsome too

Manual focus is ok, it’s only the autofocus tech they have blocked.

I can only recommend you look at Canon's MP-E65 instead if sharpness is important to you.

Unfortunately, there are two very big flaws in they don't accept refund requests past 7 days. And the warranty is only 12 months. Because of these I won't be buying it, deal breakers. But thank you for the review.

Return window is 30 days, like other amazon listings, it says so in the listing.
