She would constantly belittle me, and when I had enough and tried to leave, she would hit me and prevent me from doing so. I kept ending things with her, but she kept begging me for another chance promising me she'd change, and that she'd never find another guy like me. And me being a dumbass, kept taking her back because she was super hot. I think I was insecure also, and kept thinking I'd never find a chick as hot as her again. Eventually one day things got really heated, I left because she was screaming at me again. 2 days later we were hanging out again and she confessed to cheating because she was upset with me. I finally ended things 100%. She kept saying things like "no guy ever breaks up with me". Well guess I was the 1st. , and to this day, she still tries to contact me. But I'm just taking a break from chicks & chilling, working & taking care of myself. You gotta be happy with yourself before you try bring a girl into your life. I stuck around for years longer than I should have just because I thought it was cool having a hot gf. But now I know, I have pride in myself to let her go. Ngl it still hurts but I know it was the right thing to do, and I couldn't look at myself the same if I stayed with her.

I had the reverse happen. Every time my ex and I broke up (happened like 4x over the years) we'd hang out a few days later and I'd subtly put the moves on and by the end of the night we'd be back together. One time it was the same day we broke up, we went out for a "breakup drink" at my behest and it turned into several which turned into me walking her home which turned into us back together the next morning. Good times. Too bad eventually it happened for real.
