Excited coach Riley is taking defensive side of the ball and the Big 10 seriously. Thanks coach 🙏 for your commitment to excellence 👏. Fight on Trojans ✌️.
Bingo. Not if, but when Lynn turns this USC defense around, and thet get a national title or two under his belt, I'd expect a coach like him to get NFL looks. Lynn can start building his own legacy/coaching tree by developing guys like Henderson to potentially take the reins after he moves on.
I guess Riley been listening to everybody how he dose not care about defense. He is sitting back like ok let see what you got to say now about this staff , I’ll Waite
More reason to be excited. I'm still not sold on Lincoln Riley being the right guy to steer this USC ship, but these non-splashy, non-big headline type moves are the right moves. This is the kind of hire that can pay dividends both immediately, and most importantly, long term. USC, even in down years, still recruits pretty good just based on name recognition, alone. Once this thing gets going, due in large to player development, the 4 and 5-star blue chips will flock here, particularly on defense. Eric Henderson's resume of improving defensive linemen is a great recruiting pitch. USC is also able to pay these coordinators and position coaches more than many other schools. I think that's a reason Henderson moved on from the Rams to the Trojans. It'll be a good thing if Nua stays on staff as well. He's the only one on the defensive side of the ball, aside from Taylor Mays, I wanted to remain despite that whole side of the staff being overhauled.
