A short video about the specatcular history of Brean Down, Somerset. From ancient history to the modern era. A journey through time, Iron Age forts, a Roman Temple, Napoleonic fortifiications and defences structures from World War Two.
Brean Down is a promontory off the coast of Somerset, England, standing 318 feet (97 m) high and extending 1+1⁄2 miles (2.5 kilometres) into the Bristol Channel at the eastern end of Bridgwater Bay between Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea.

I’ve been to Brean a number of times and never gone down that far. You’ve made some good videos on Brean and you’ve made another. Great work 😊👍

Great Video. Really enjoyed this. Ive a;so done a Brean Down video but i think yours is much better than mine. The drone shots were good & showed what can't be seen from the ground. I had no idea there was a giant arrow there. Good archive pics & video.

@@walkingwithstephen Hi Stephen. I filmed this with my Osmo Pocket 3. The closeups were from my Samsung phone & the footage from 1993 was a camcorder but I can't remember what make. 👍👍😊😊
