"She makes me want to eat my vegetables, and live a little longer." It's not easy to make a compliment that is hilarious _and_ beautiful, but you did it man, so do not worry, you speak fine! Cynthia is the daughter of a single parent first generation immigrant Nigerian nurse, who grew up in public housing in a not very posh district of South London, Stockwell. Her talent was first spotted by the leader of a drama workshop that was being run as a diversionary activity for local kids during the summer holidays. This same teacher later practically forced her to apply to the UK's leading performing arts school, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Many of the great English actors had trained there, and Cynthia didn't think that places like that could possibly be for people like her; but they disagreed and gave her a scholarship, and she was on her way ... So she's kind of from the ghetto herself, but man, does she have _a lot_ of class. As a Souh Londoner myself, I feel ridiculously proud of her, and more so than ever after this incredible homage to Dionne Waewick. It's almost _too_ good! Your reaction was priceless, although I am left wondering who Miss Nancy is, and why she doesnt appear on camera? I guess she must be shy ... Best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧

Your reaction to Cynthia is hilarious! But your comment about how the audience wasn’t acting by gyrating is funny. This is the Kennedy Center Honor’s. A prestigious ceremony held in DC honoring iconic actors, musicians, dancers/choreographers. Any artists across all artistic realms. Film, dance, broadway, musical composition. The president even attends. I’m glad you enjoyed Cynthia’s performance. Look up her in Color purple Tony’s 2016.
