Dionne Warwick sang Alfie which was the title song of the movie Alfie (starring Michael Caine as Alfie). Check out Cynthia doing Stand Up from the Harriet Tubman movie and I'm Here from The Color Purple.

i've watched numerous reactions to this performance. i LOVE yours. & it's the only one i've commented on. i LOVE your appreciation for Cynthia's voice, especially having never heard the song before. i LOVE that you listened to it, in its entirety, without interruption. i LOVE that you appreciated & respected her "instrument" SO much that you listened a second time. i LOVE how, on the 2nd viewing, you took the time to note & appreciate the AUDIENCE's reactions! and i ADORE that you corrected yourself, in referring to THE LEGENDARY Honoree as MS. Her vocal abilities are made for the stage and for these super dramatic performances at major events. Very ironic when you think about how Dionne sang all these tunes. Burt Bacharach was a tyrant when it came to his melodies and he would never allow Dionne to waver or improvise in any way on the recordings.

I would suggest you listen to the original by Dionne. She's done a few versions, and they are both great. Cynthia definitely made that her own, which was perfect!! The orchestration with Cynthia's voice talent is what made this amazing.
