Hi there! Glad you enjoyed the videos! We made a video on pet friendly plants . Here is the link. Many are air purifying . Some good ones are spider plants, peperomia, and ponytail palms. 😀🪴 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DNjg9P4ndIE.htmlsi=ZiRzhxzTdxE_Nx2N

Would they survive outside in zone 10a?

Yes, but they can get some frost damage if you get a wicked cold front. Best to keep these guys in a protected place from wind and under shade. 😀🪴

What is there about this plant anatomy that makes it a better air filter as you called it a HEPA filter. I’m curious about what different

Hi! first similarities- If we compare a mechanical HEPA filer device with an Aglaonema houseplant, both remove airborne dust particles. NOW ...to the differences and why Aglaonemas are better. Aglaonema is better because they remove VOC's (volatile organic compounds) namely the harmful airborne gasses of Benzene and Formaldehyde. A HEPA filter may or may not remove VOC's (you will need to buy a model that has an activated carbon component to the filter) and some HEPA brands don't have/use carbon which means harmful VOC's will remain in the air. ALSO with aglaonemas you don't have to buy an expensive HEPA fan device, replace the HEPA/carbon filters when the wear out (expensive), and run electricity to keep HEPA filter going. With AgsYou just need to water them, fertilize from time to time and remove dust off leaves with a damp cloth . A way better solution IMO. Hope this helps. 😀🪴

Omg, yes, it’s nurture not nuture Mike! I need to figure out how to use FCP spell check. Ughh. My spelling is a weak point for sure. Thanks for the catch Georg. How’s the new house coming along ? 😀🪴

The house is making progress but is also delayed again. Was supposed to be ready in January but the well they dug was 5 feet too close to the septic tank and now the well must be redone (at no extra cost to me) in order to pass inspection. Hopefully the house will be ready next month, but I can't come down until April. The soil has an incredible amount of rocks, which will make gardening a challenge. Would like to visit you in Miami, if time allows.@@LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN
