Almost seems like racing back in the day was more fun then today. In other words cars making less power back then were more fun then the 600, 800, 1k hp cars today. Love the video. I've been working on mine since I bought it new in 1988 and still today. Back then your choices were limited, Trickflow was just getting started and there dual throttle body intake was intresting to say the least. I was there in the begining and have been connected to the research and development feild for almost 35 years the changes i have seen and the people I have met along the way I am truly blessed to have been part of this incredible journey. If you were a car guy back then and got to witness the transition from carburators to TBI and then EFI like I did it was epic. Even back then we new what kind of potential was possible. Thanks for letting us in your world. all should take pride in what they can accomplish. Peace brother.

What you said about the lightening and the fox is as real as it gets. I have a 03 mach that i bought with head work done and cams. I did change out the exhaust and had 4:10s put in it, but if you beat that car so be it, i didnt build it and its not gonna bother me as bad as if you beat my fox ive been wrenching on for 22 years. Im a big believer in building my own car. Thats why love this channel. Alot of people can sign thier name on a loan agreement, and thats fine, but if you beat me you havent accomplished nothing in my eyes. Even though it still sucks to lose..haha

Thanks for the excellent content. I ran a b303 cam back in the day with gt40 heads & 1.7 crane roller rockers. Then we added 8 lb Paxton sn93 supercharger and hit with 60hp of nitrous all on a 89' LX Hatchback. Ran a best of 11.15 at 122 in the quarter on 26x10 et street . 5 speed of course. So I am very fond of the b303 cam...lol. By the way on the 11.15 run we had a 1.78 60 foot.

I love your approach and i love old school tricks. Old school tricks are often over looked. Ive dropped 300lbs or more out of my SN and there are a lot of people that don't realize what that does. Ive surprised more than a few people.

Back in the day I was the enemy , in the 90s I ran a gray T-Type I took the motor out my self and trans did not build the motor or trans but I did not have the tuner do everything , It got stolen out of my driveway a while back ... Got a lowered white 95GT now with a 347, v2 vorteck, Z303 cam , afr185s , IM fixing to pull the motor again to go with a dart 427 block , and sell the Z303 cam and v2, for a 0n three TT set up that's my goal , I don't no much abought mustangs yet ..... your vids really help out .............

love this and the fact that you mentioned anybody can go buy a brand new hellcat and beat up on everybody that doesn't make you cool at all what makes you cool is buying a pile of garbage putting $20,000 into it and proudly losing to a hellcat but putting up one hell of a fight then going home fixing your car making it better and trying again! any asshole with the deep pocketbook can buy a hellcat and pay somebody else to do the mods!

I understand exactly what your saying on building a car. I'm building an 03 Mach 1. Should be 630hp at the motor but doing everything myself. Steering, suspension, auto swap, engine build, Eaton swap, and rear end build. All with my 2 hands. Project is a 1/4 the way done.

I love the old school set ups with gear carburetor & nitrous. I'm not hating on turbo just preference. BUILT NOT BOUGHT... I love it!!!

Well modern cars have made it to easy to go fast. I love them too but nothing like even a 350HP 5.0 it took work to get them pushing 300hp. Still have respect for a Fox with those kind of numbers. A 500hp Fox is a beast!

Absolutely love it! Makes me wanna order a nitrous kit for my coupe after the new motor gets broke in. Reminds me of back in the early 2000’s when all of my buddies had their cars too.

It's not the fastest but it's yours, and it's relatable to normal people like myself. I've got an 88 fox with C4, 3200 stall, Edelbrock intake, bigger TB, switched to mass air, GT40p heads, and a B-cam and it's fun. I'm trying to decide what power adder to go with and this is very helpful. Thank you

@BREW2L I've had my coyote s550 for about 8 months now and its nowhere near as "raw" as one of these foxbodys. I had a b-cam 91 hatch in highschool and it turned more heads, started more conversation and was way more fun to drive. It never let you forget what you were driving. This s550 might be a Mustang yes, but its definitely not the Mustang i fell in love with. #boughtnotbuilt😥 lol

2 great cars! People can say what they want, but those GT40 and alphabet cam combos have been around so long because they work! There’s a reason why people look for the GT40/GT40P heads and explorer intakes. Andrew has a nice running combo and I’m sure he’d embarrass most newer cars with a lot more HP. Nicely done!

Man that's how I am bought me a 99 cobra I been learning and turning wrenches myself on everything that's done. Which isn't to much but I'm already hurting feelings. I woke the car up headers new clutch tuned. completely new front end if it swivel moves turns its been changed up front bushings too. I'm fixing to tear apart my first irs rear end. Adding 373 gears and once again if it moves its being changed. Seals bushings everything and once again doing all my own work.

When I roll raced in my Grand National, I would press lightly on the brake to brake boost. Turbo could build up some pressure. Brake rotors would heat up now mind you.

Badass match up lol, down side on the nitrous when roll racing like this is that it will make less power every run due to bottle pressure dropping but them first two hits are pretty crisp lol
