The second season is really when the series starts. The first season is just the prologue. It starts a bit slower and has less action, so it drove people away, but if you like the characters and seeing their development, then you'll enjoy it. Studio WIT did season one and the same team moved to Studio MAPPA, because of lack of funding to produce the second season. Who are they? That is Einar. A farm slave. The blonde one is Thorfinn.
