Bree Solstad's Catholic Conversion 

I am very Catholic eversince and through college but when I work in middle east there is no catholic church, and ofcourse since no church some catholics joined Born Again Christian but I never did. Me and my husband got married by the justice of the peace and all my 3 kids are baptized catholics. Last year after visiting Israel I want to get married in the church. So after 29 years we had our married convalidated in the church. Knowing your faith and being Catholics is a gift. Bless you Bree .

Becoming Catholic = sacrifice this is true. Being Catholic is so much harder than the Protestant way. I was keenly aware the first couple of years. But it is so worth it. I am so thankful to those German Catholic great grandparents. Such a beautiful legacy.

It is interesting to me when you were discussing what people lose or can lose in the world when they become Catholic. I am a revert who came back 8 years ago. When my mom received lasr rites I just knew. Anyhow my upbringing was non conventional despite traditional Catholic school. Mom was Catholic because her dad was. He died when she was 14. Grandma never converted which I find remarkable for a protestant woman marrying a Catholic in 1925. She had promised to raise mom Catholic mom’s Aunt and Uncle helped. When mom graduated high school grandma quit going to Catholic church and joined the protestant church behind her house. Then mom married a Methodist. Dad did not convert but consented to us being Catholic. So, essentially I was raised cradle Catholic in an all protestant family. My dads folks and my maternal grandmother were all devout just not Catholic. I have always felt it a blessing but it was often painful. Nuns in first grade preaching against marrying Protestant. Then I went Protestant (lutheran, pentecostal, Presbyteran, Methodist and back home to Catholic. When I was Protestant I heard anti catholic rhetoric. All of that stuff was painful.

What a beautiful conversion story. And being a mother, she understood the sufferings that Mother Mary had gone through in her earthly life with Jesus.

Can I just say how beautiful this woman is she reminds me of Mother Mary she is beautiful I pray her story reaches many people!! ❤

i agree with Bree when she said the "sacrament of confession" is one that is fearful to many catholics and i love the way she said its also one that "heals" us.

Imagine having a saint that is a former adult actress, or a gay saint (one who despite having homosexual tendencies, lived a holy life). With the modern evils, we need modern saints. I pray that Bree is one on the way there!

I am in awe of how far into the “Catholic thing” she has come in such a relatively short time. I mean she gets some pretty deep, concepts that people I know who were “raised Catholic” still don’t get or are skeptical about. She has been truly gifted with faith and that ability to assent to the Church’s teachings that can only be by the grace of the Holy Spirit. ❤️🙏🏼 Her joy is so apparent, and her love of the Sacrament of Reconciliation is so real. I WANT to love confession that much, but admittedly that is something I still struggle with sometimes, as a cradle Catholic.

Very inspiring . I am 47 years old catholic . Born and raised as catholic. Like every catholic, all catholic, we all have Grand Canyon to climb and sure it’s really hard but the gift of all sacraments lead us to reaching the top and breath. I appreciated so much the story of every converts and I am inspired. I know you said , we older Catholics need to be the role model and I love that reminders. And so you know, you converts are actually the best mirror on how we should inspired ourselves as the older Catholics to see how gracious you are and how awesomely you are in your faith. So, thank you.

Before this video started an ad featuring Fr. Mike S on the Bible in a year popped up. It was refreshing to see the smiling face of Fr Mike, a celibate priest who specializes on teaching children, youth, young adults. I did not know if I can watch her story now that the ad has been so hopeful, innocent, and cleansing. Her story was told with delicacy and honesty. No details. Well done, touching.

Bree’s story is a testament to God’s patience and love, as well as the power of prayer, everyone can be saved.

Is she going to a traditional Latin mass or the new mass?? I've been a catholic my whole life and also struggled with the norms of the world and attended the novus ordo until 8yrs ago I found the SSPX catholic church and completely changed my whole life! I found peace and more knowledge in the faith then I ever have as well as enrolled my kids in the school and they taught me so much during there path in the catechism but especially having being taught by the sisters that wear there habit as it should be but it's been such a beautiful journey and just love my faith and am so happy to hear this story from Bree and wish the best for her and her family and hope her journey travels on to many others stuck in their trials of finding there faith, like my older son he still questions so much about God and pray he will come to know and love and serve our Dear Lord and not stay angry with God! Thank you for sharing your story Bree. I'm a Catholic from the Philippines, a devotee of the Blessed Mother. I'm really blessed by your story how God keeps pursuing you until you found Him through Mama Mary and St. Clare. Truly everything works according to God's Divine Will.
