Thank you for sharing this video , I learned alot :) I just got my mom a pair of canaries 1 week ago female and male, the male is bright orange really beautiful and the female yellow also beautiful I love canaries but i can't have them right now, the male hasn't sing yet but it's okay we hope they have some babies later on!
Exceptional video. Super informative. I'm just wondering though, when you remove the early eggs, how do you keep them before returning them to the nest all together to ensure simultaneous incubation? Thanks for the upload you have beautiful birds!!
Wow, that was enlightening. - Very informative & educational I'm building a birdcage for a friend and I wanted to learn a little more about these types of birds. Thank you, I've learned a lot from this video. Well done! .
This is a great video! Thanks so much! I am just learning as I just got a male and female (hopefully). I heard singing after the video and this was the first time since I got them!!!! I am pretty sure it was the male. So sweet!
Got to learn sooooooo much thanks alot superb video :) my canarina named Lily laid her first egg today :) i replaced it with a dummy :) how many days shall I wait ? 7 days ?
This is by far the best video I have seen about the time light of canary breeding. I had a question about the time the firs hatching of babys are born and the time the second hatchings start but this video has explained everything very well. Thank you very much P.S my canarys are 4 days old

Hi! This video is wonderful. I have started breeding my canaries here in Pennsylvania. It's a little early but the birds are in condition with the extra light. I have a question for you. I have a yellow hen that I would like to place with my blue male but he wants nothing to do with her. He is really mean to her but I keep the partition in place. I'm not sure I can pair them. Should I wait to see if he starts to like her or try a new male?
really it's a great video that helped me take care well of my canaries , but i think at the end of the video you said that you'll show us how to teach canaries to sing, right ?? so we are waiting.
Bravo and nice video....I've been trying to couple Gloster crown hen with male (no crown) but I have problems 1st time 6eggs from which 4 fertiled the first hatched lived 2 days....I see the boy doesn't really wanna do nothing else except eat......I don't know I was told that they aren't sister and brother but.....now the boy is on diet and I let the girl to fix the nest in peace on her own with lots of vitamines and egg as well as eggshelves. If there is again high rate of baby death should I just stop trying? To be sure if crowned girl is mixed with normal canary can it still make crowned babies (of course the Gloster bloodline dies in there)? Nice information video for us dummies and good luck for your this years babies. Kali sarakosti XD
Thank you I liked it, I love to see how other people take of there birds, I so want to learn more and a lot more, so I can do the best for my birds thank you . what kinds of food do you give them when they have babies? Thank you From Calgary Denis
It's great tutorial video. Especially for beginner breeder. I want to ask u about baby canary place, i seem after 3-5 day after hatching, u make a separation for baby to their parent by using vertical block like in the minutes 07.29. that cause, the parent can't go into baby box. Why u do that? I mean is that ok??
I have a female that has built a nest, but the male keeps going there and taking parts off of it. Should I separate them? she has not laid any eggs, but was sitting in the nest.

Hello, I am a first time owner of a canaries. I bought a fancy canary at PetSmart and they told me she was female. She sings but only a little compared to the male canaries i have seen on youtube. I want to get a male that is american singer mixed with waterslager, will they be able to breed together?
I have a canary that has laid 4 eggs in the nest ...(has a male with her) she laid her first egg the 3rd of my.....she is sitting tight on the eggs just getting off now and again to eat ....my question is ...should the male be feeding the female while she is sitting on the eggs? I have seen him feed her a couple of times and that is all....so should he be feeding her during her time of sitting on the eggs ? I am worried she will not eat enough .....

Today morning two chicks hatched from my nest and the mother is still sitting on them in the cage feeding them but i am concerned because she regularly goes away to feed and perhaps the male is not feeding her enough. Should i just let them be or feed the chicks?
