The last hooray of the lever escapement. Some of Forster's best Magnum Opus were written about this topic, including some on its evolution. This and the Chronometrie are essential at any collection that's based not just in craft but also in technology.

subdial at 6 is not chronograph hours, its second time zone indicator in 12 hour format and subdial at 3 is the am/pm indicator for that second time zone

People are commenting that the dial is a mess and it’s too thick but I’m thinking about flying in under the radar and bombing a few targets and I think it’s just perfect for the task. 😉

Beutiful! I love a big chunky watch. My daily is a Rolex Deep Sea so this is perfect IMO.

If breguet manages to push the refresh if this model below 15mm / better 14mm it would be a crazy grail watch. This one is simply too thick

I had one of these about three years ago and while it was indeed an interesting timepiece, when I found out as Alastair says the service cost was closing in on $4000 I couldn’t get rid of it fast enough!

Too thick, too bulky, too much of a mess of a dial. Why does anybody need a 24h display on this watch? And telling wether or not the current seconds lap is the first or second half of a minute is too complicated. Cool technology but they missed the mark.

@@DavidDatura Breguet, Blancpain, Glashutte, and Jaquet Droz can certainly mop the floor with pretty much every other brand out there, but their association with Swatch Group is not necessarily something to brag about. That being said, it is because of Swatch's financial support that these brands have been able to produce such amazing timepieces without going under.

Awful! So endemic of the oversized watch trend of the 2000s and 2010s. It doesn’t need to be this huge, nor this overtly complex. Also, Breguet’s trademark coined case-sides don’t scale up nicely at all! They should keep it on their dress watches only. Sorry, but this watch is a bloated mess.

it has to be this big to make the 1/10 second track legible. but I agree 24 hours sub-dial is kind of unnecessary. An am/pm indicator can do the same thing and make a cleaner dial.
