Love this! Sugess is actually one of the best AliExpress brands as Seestern is also a subbrand of them. The watch has a vintage inspired design and comes on a modern strap. Here it actually works! 🧡
Hi Jason You don't see to many Sugess watches being reviewed so it was good to see this one, and I must say it looks really nice, I've been looking at the Sugess Moon-phase recently not pulled the trigger yet but who knows, maybe soon ...stay safe
There is no denying this is an absolute stunner of a watch. I was after something with an ST19 movement in and was torn between this and the Seagull 1963. I plumped for the 63 in the end but wouldn’t be surprised to see this in my collection at some point.
This is just an outstanding watch, I've had my eye on it for a while....next time it goes on sale I will pull the trigger on one. Thank you Jason for sharing and be well my friend 👍
I literally bought it for my birthday during AliExpress sale. It is such a nice watch for the price. You can see the beautiful chrono movement and I love it!
Another thing I like about the color schemes is the time hands, hours minutes and small seconds as well as the color around the markers match and the chronograph hands, the large seconds and the small minute are a different shade of orange. Really nice touch. Mine is running about-6spd.
Picked on of the Deus Ex Machina homages up late last year. It's a cracker. Take my advice. Put it on a crazy horse bund strap from Vario. Best mechanical chronograph for the money anywhere, and is the perfect Claytons Breitling.
That’s a belter, only criticism is the orange strap, I would prefer it on a rally leather strap. I know it’s a bretling homage but it puts me in mind of Nezumi Studio watches as well. The movement is sensational, you could almost wear the movement side
Looks top 👌 great video jason looking forward to getting on my wrist 😍 Did not pay any extra for the strap was a surprise to me aswel. And your welcome you put alot of time and effort into your channel and always do great job!
I really do like the look of these Chinese chronographs from brands like Sugess, Merkur & Sea-Gull. Seems like there may be some variations, as some have 19 jewels & others21. However, the point holding me back is the thought of servicing costs as & when the need arises. I can imagine it will be a tad expensive to have this beautiful movement worked on. But they are nice.
Hi Jason, that is a very nice watch. I am amazed about these Chinese Brands. It is like the Pagani Design brand....it is mind blowing concerning quality and accuracy. So nice. 👍. I think ( without being 100%sure) that Seagul bought the license and the manufacturing tools from a Swiss company in early '60. The Seagul 1963 is equipped with a Swiss movement that came from the "Venus 175" Swiss movement. Sugess is part of this share I think.
Tienjin (Sea-Gull) bought the equipment and drawings from a Swiss movement factory called Venus in the 60s and moved everything to China. That is the origin of ST19
Love this watch. One issue with it though is the hands get lost with the face making it hard to read. You better know what time it is roughly to help locate the hands to read the time. Macro shots make it easier to read, so if you need a readable watch, beware. Lume is surprisingly good though. Enjoy...but be warned
I really wish they carried over the lightning bolt had over to the blue dial Oh well can't win them all Just saying Anyways Thanks for another killer review my friend 👍
It really is the dogs....we all love the ST19 movement, can spend a lot of time just looking at it....I'd prefer to be all brushed but that's just me....there is most definitely one of these in my future....🏴⌚🏴⌚
Like others have posted; this watch is Chinese produced & that means Chinese quality control & dependability. I had one of these & the actuator started sticking after about 6 months. The Seagull movement is decent for the price; it’s more about the overall execution being uninspiring.
