What is the most important thing to consider when buying a watch? Specs? Value? Or is there something else that should always take centre stage everything else.
This video is about this my Breitling Avenger 43 GMT and why I have a connection with it. The price doesn't matter in the overall point of the video - we all have different levels of spend on watches so don't be put off by the fact this one isn't exactly affordable ... hopefully the message is universal and applies to more than just my own collecting journey.

Nice video, thank you🙂👍. Your words and advice on watches is true indeed. I read that story on Willie Breitling before- it's buried somewhere in the brand's website. Didn't surprise me: the man wasn't short on courage, taking over the company at age 19!

Great review, I almost picked this up at the weekend in London, The cleanness of the white dial is what is drawing in me in on this piece !! less is more !!!

Thanks mate - it's such a beautiful piece isn't it? You definitely won't be disappointed if you end up going for it 😎...they did have some relatively cheap on Jomashop a while back if it helps... but I'm guessing the import duties and tax will kill that saving 😩

@@nextonthewrist WAs worried at 43mm would be too small as I like big watches, I have the Sea Wolf 45mm and old Super Oceam 48mm, but was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on !! Subscribed now !!!

Very good. I never heard that ww2 story. It endears me to the brand. Emotional connection, the stories about a specific watch or the brand are more important than the specs and market value of a particular watch. Excellent that you brought that up. Ok, now go play some bass.

That's a great looking watch, I own a Chronomat 41, not the current model, the previous, with a black eyed blue dial, I love it. You're so right, you buy these pieces of art with your heart, not your had. ENJOY IT!!

Nice review! I’m seriously considering adding an Avenger GMT to my collection. Undecided on colour, but that white looks amazing!

The white is so crisp, if you do go that way you'll love it … but I'm sure they all look great 🙂

@@nextonthewrist I’ve tried on the black and blue versions, and they’re great. Unfortunately I haven’t yet been able to find a white one near me since it’s an obsolete model. Maybe you could post me yours just to try it out 😉
