Service is second to none, but unfortunately have had to send the same watch back 3x for detached indices. I would like to believe the issue was unique to our watch.
Interesting - and sorry to hear that, I haven't heard of this very often on any watch aside from serious knocks, hope you get a resolution once and for all on it. I still have the dark green one shown in the video here in my collection, and it's never had an issue...touch wood. It must be coming on for 4-5 years old now.
Sure and you can buy many way cheaper Chinese "hommages" with the same SII movements and they make very nice different color dials too. Seiko makes their watches to expensive without changes much more over the years.
I’ve had no QC issues dealing with Farer. But I know that sometimes people may have them. But to be honest, I don’t see your issues. Your watch looks fine to me. I watched this on mobile so maybe something didn’t come across.
Yeah it's hard to capture on camera, particularly the misalignment on the chrono hand. I wouldn't be an honest reviewer if I didn't tell you how it is 🙂
I certainly appreciate your perspective here. I find myself wanting to go after this particular watch month after month, so I needed to hear these words! Seems to be such a great watch; however, I fear I’d feel the exact same way that you did towards it.
I bought my Colt Chrono for a relatively low price a few years ago while I was living in the UK and finally got a full service done through my go-to Breitling distributer in Calgary. Paid $800 CDN for the service, and I must say, it was money well spent.
Spot on chief 🙌 Breitling service is so good...especially compared to even some of the horrors I've seen from Rolex and Omega post service, I haven't met anyone with a bad word on them. Worth every cent 😎
Pity that, like Longines, they insist on only making the larger case size on their HPQ as it rules these fantastic watches for a sizeable subset of the population. I wonder if they do this in Asia where 36mm is still a very popular size. Finally, the date window is terrible given the vibrancy of the dial; colour-match it or drop it IMHO... I would hope that the accuracy is far, far better than they quote as most of my Seiko + Citizen quartz pieces are +/- 1 sec per week or better and they are all far cheaper than this Bulova.
Sizing I agree, small would be a good addition and a colored date window is always nice. I don't know of any affordable quartz Seikos that keep anywhere near the accuracy of this, and I have had a fair few. Do you have a specific Seiko movement think is better? I lost 2 seconds in around 4 months with this Bulova which is absolutely remarkable, I'm hugely impressed by it and I think it offers the best of quartz technology at the price - obviously not competing vs. atomic clock sync and Bluetooth sync like the casios and citizens as that's cheating and not actually the quartz being accurate... 😆
I’ve had mine since launch. It’s traveled that world with me. I really love it. Quirky and interesting enough for non watch nerds. And accurate enough for watch nerds. Cheap enough that I can wear it everywhere without worrying about it. And waterproof enough that I can jump into the ocean at any point. Maybe my favorite travel watch.

I always stay away from Aliexpress watches that seem too cheap. But this one seems good for the price. Only the longevity of the movement is to be seen.
