Hi Rob, 2 years later you saved my life. I really mean it. This is why some RU-vidrs are so great: they spend their time explaining others, like me, what to do so we do not spend our time or our money ruining our new rubber band. Thank you very much and greetings from the Canary Islands.
The Buck 119, a classic. Not many people know that it was originally created back in 1942 during World War II to resize premium Swiss watch straps. It was only later that people realized it could be useful for the occasional hunt between strap changes.
That adjustable clasp seems like a sweet feature. Watch looks totally different on rubber. Great watch and always great to have some more strap options
I feel like adjustable clasps are becoming more common (and this is a great thing!). I got a Mido Ocean Star Captain V Titanium (which you reviewed on your channel before) and the comfort different of an easily adjustable clasp cannot be overstated
Good g-d, thanks for this video, needed to know for sure if I had to have the Breitling tool or not to get those pins loose without scratching the crap out of a new clasp. Thanks for this video !!! 🎰
Looking good! Could someone tell me the thicknesses of this strap? I'm looking for a replacement for my Sinn silicon strap, but I don't know if this will fit.
Just FYI I found it super easy to cut might Breitling rubber strap with a chef knife. Works great (wishes I used the technique on my other cut to fit rubber so it would be cleaner)
hey rob , and everyone. i have just sized my rubber bracelet and it's a very thin line between too tight and perfect. mine is tight which i want but i do notice it for an hour or so at first. will rubber stretch with time does anyone know ? or is there a trick to stretch it ? i don't think boiling water will work i think that might shrink it ? hope someone can advise 👍👍 great channel rob.
I have three Breitling Superoceans & two are on bracelets, while the third is on this version of strap. I personally do not like it; the clasp seems to get stuck and is always too tight or too loose, despite the micro adjustments. I’m going to a cheaper aftermarket silicone strap; blasphemous perhaps, but I prefer comfort.
Do you prefer the stainless steel bracelet or rubber strap? Is the weight of the stainless steel bracelet with watch 160, 180, or 190 grams - Breitling website states these three weights on different pages.
Couple hundred dollars for this and all you get is some anemic springbars, a strap you have to cut and a clasp that provides no advantage over a buckle and tang... disappointing in my opinion
I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW YOU DO A VIDEO ABOUT SIZING AND DONT SHOW MOST OF THE WORK NEEDED AND SAY THAT " ITS NOT COMPLICATED " . MAYBE ITS NOT FOR YOU BUT FOR THE VIEWER WHO CLICKED THE VIDEO IT DAMN SURE IS !! THUMBS DOWN
@@RandomRobReviews Any chance you can direct me to, or have a video that shows the process of removing the pins with the fine fork tool from said watch which Ive just purchased online.
Yeah, I agree with you. Sorry to say that. Point of the video is to help the viewers understand how to accomplish a task. To say not going to show how to do this, or can’t do that on camera, and it’s not that complicated, well why even have the video at all? If it’s not complicated, people don’t even need whatever the bits that are shown in this video. If they’re informed enough to figure out the other parts, maybe they can just figure out all of it.
