I have the same bracelet on a transocean and a little trick to pop open the clasp is to pull it up from the back rather than trying to get under the front with a nail. It just pops right off
I have a 44 heritage 1 green bezel, black dial, beautiful leather band! thinking of trading it in for a heritage 2. Worth it? Dont think they made the same color combo
Great video, I've been looking at SOH 2 42mm on the bracelet and plan to pull the trigger after Xmas when the dealers are struggling to hit their sales targets and desperate for revenue for best deal... just can't decide on the Blue or Black!!
I couldn't agree more. I have two Breitlings with display backs. But to be honest after two weeks with either of them you forget you can see inside. The movements are nice and finished well but you wouldn't miss not seeing them. I guess I'm agreeing with the reviewer unless it's a very high end piece display backs are a bit overrated.
Phil O I agree the mesh is an attractive looking bracelet but maintain that it doesn't seem to " go" with the case as any other decent watch I've bought. I also think the clasp is cheap looking with no way to micro adjust without using a tool. The black rubber though looked amazing, and I think I prefer it to my Omega planet ocean in black and orange, where the strap looks slightly too narrow for the case.
I've been crushing hard on a G.O. SeaQ Panorama Date. . . and then I found these. A fraction of the price, more heritage, probably not the same level of horology but damn, damn a fine looking piece.
Bought this watch and want to let you all know, Breitling changed the packaging to a smaller outer box. The rivet box is gone the new box is smaller and simpler. No big deal just different the inner leather travel case is still supplied.
I'm considering the new steel/gold black dial on rubber strap. I like the mesh design but it doesn't look an integral part of the watch. The gaps between the end of the bracelet and the case look like an after market addition? A shame as I'm looking for a dressy watch which the rubber strap won't achieve- interested in any comments.
david L I recently sold the Breitling. I really love the wearability of the mesh but I will agree as I wish there were no gaps. The seamaster 300m is a great dressy diver with a wonderful bracelet. I have a video on that watch as well.
There is no gap by design!! Not an afterthought at all.. it allows the mesh to flow around your wrist and you cannot have a decent curved milanese end link.. it needs to end in a bar,. It looks terrible in curved end links I had a Tag years ago with one. It is without doubt the most comfortable bracelet out there and unlike the oyster bracelet it doesnt show desk dives or swirls.. but looks unique and amazing. The Rolex Omega IWC bracelets are nothing but chunky and plain..good quality but much of a muchness.
Great video! I picked up the blue in 42mm last week. I was torn between it and 44mm but 42mm felt best. The bracelet is more comfortable than my Sub 114060. This piece will become collectible I bet.
In my opinion and I have both and have had for a while.. this is a classic design and the appearance is more dressy. Nobody does a crystal like Breitling and the movement accuracy is better than Rolex..and so is the Omega .. both great watches i would not use the term better for either... rather different qualities and both great timepieces
@@dylanglyn i was thinking the exact same thing! this looks really dressy and will suit people that dress up often...where else SMP300 will tolerate more ups and downs. Superocean does look a bit more classic while SMP feels more special to look at.
Hi can you suggest between Breitling SuperOcean Heritage II 42mm vs Omega new Seamaster diver 300, which one is better in terms of Movement,Aesthetics & wearability
The original superocean is a fantastic time piece with low servicing costs. Also much thinner case instead of 14.3 The ceramic really pops and looks very modern and the hands look beautiful on the two. Tudor movement is also superb. I've owned both and my advice is unless you really want the upgrades keep yours because its a perfect watch with an amazing movement, don't listen to snobs Breitlings ETA is heavily modified and its perfect
@@WatchDisplay Better quality ? My friend did you see the ORIS aquis. It has a much better movement Hi beat and its 300 meters instead of 200 which is a shame for a diving watch at that price. This watch retail is over 5000$ and Oris under 2500$. A much better bang for the buck. Breitling u pay for the name. Not even close as ORIS. Seiko Prospex go check the remake of the 1969 that has 36 jewels and 8R something movement which crazy accurate. Now after saying that there are some Breitlings that are better quality especially the limited editions Navitimers but those are like 15k-20k and its not like they are 10 times better but 1.5 times better. Bottom line its a beautiful watch nonetheless but i find it pricy for what you are getting and its the reason i went with ORIS. Beleive me i want to get that watch initially it is beautiful.
Decorated movement, but no transparent caseback, no silicon hairspring so it is not antimagnetic and that CRAP clasp. Why would they do this? Put a clasp like the one on the rubber strap, an exbition caseback and make it anti magnetic and it would be AWESOME.
This watch lacks numbers on the bezel. To me, it is like bezel indices double the dial indices, which is frankly pointless. If there were numbers, I would love it and probably waste my last savings on it)
@@WatchDisplay I bet it is! And it is way better than last generation (that didn't have lume on the bezel, disgusting). But for my taste it needs 1-2 more rugged characteristics do be better. Like crown guard + jubilee or oyster bracelet.
Phil O you had the heritage II? This model has only been out for a little over a year. I’m thinking you had the previous model superocean heritage without the ceramic bezel and Tudor movement.
WatchDisplay yeah 2015 model. I’m sure the lume is the exact same on the II as well as the feel on wrist lol. Not a bad watch at all but I bought a hulk Batman and SD 43 since then and I feel they are all better quality and more comfortable to wear.
Phil O Yeah, the Batman and hulk both wear well as I have the bluesy and recently sold the Batman blnr. However more than double if not triple the price, I think this Batman serves well for an everyday beater.
Phil O yeah the bracelet attracted me as well. I have had so many Rolexes in the past two years that this bracelet was a nice change for certain days. This bracelet is in my top 5 favorite bracelets. Let’s see if that changes after one month of wear.
"Lets get straight into getting close up with this watch...no wait let's look at this bastardised Seiko I put together...now lets talk about me flogging off the bezel of the Seiko." Just stick to the review...life's too short mate.
