I have four Bremont watches, the Solo was my first. I love the technology and the what the company is trying to do. I have met one of the brothers that developed the company and appreciate the passion behind the brand. And they are British!
I have been wanting a Solo for quite some time. Last week went to my AD and walked out with a Broadsword. Loving it. My first watch that doesn't say Swiss or Japanese Made.
Really enjoying your reviews. I personally love Bremont, I've owned several over the years. I think if more people held it in their hands, there would be less shade thrown their way. The quality is definitely there for the price.
Cracking Chanel Andrew 👍🏻Doing a great job. Loving the bremont watches nearly purchased the u2/51 jet. But decided for the omega seamaster 300m black gold.
I think the 4 year window is caused by the fact that only the movement itself is tested, only after that they are assembling the whole piece together, which takes some time. And as you pointed out, then it waits for its owner for a bit.
Yet again brilliant video Andrew , that's a really nice watch . It kind of reminds me of a military style watch . Glad you got such a good deal on it . I've had to stop myself a few times from buying a similar looking watch . Davosa military automatic. It's not got as good a finish as yours but it's only just over £600. But will put that into the Suby pot instead . Enjoy that timepiece. That watch will look the dogs , on a nato
Thanks John,,, it’s really nice and a bargain if ever I have seen one! I’ve looked at Davosa a few times but if it’s in the Sub Pot it’s in a good place. There are a few C Ward watches I like for under £1k as well....
I have a Solo and MB11, they get far more wrist time than Omega PO or Breitling. I like watches at 42mm+ as I’m an ex-rower and have wrists like most people’s thighs! Having met the English brothers quite a few times and visiting the old factory I struggle with the snobbery against the brand. I’d far rather own a Bremont than have the usual question “is it real?” about an over priced Rolex that I’ve had to bribe an AD to get.
Just bagged a non polished Matt version on a whim for 800 quid under list .. I had seen it a few times in windows and really liked it . When I saw the deal I thought it’s a lot of watch for a little over 2 grand . Surprised yours had scratches with the hardened case finish . It’s meant to be 9 times stronger than 316 l steel , never mind not a big deal ...
You know the minute this showed up on your IG account I started hunting and you really got a steal. The best price out there is $2,950 on Watchfinder. Anyway, those hands are my favorite shape. Love a good sword hand and those are the perfect size and the other thing that's a personal love of mine are simple font, but all metal applied numbers. This watch is so damn handsome. The 2 touches of red are so great and I love the date, you can see it when you want but not notice it otherwise. Beautiful caseback. So after I started looking around of course no one says what the lug to lug is...so Andrew...what is that wing span on that? I love how they curve down, but i'm awful curious. Looks great on you, especially I'd think when you are looking in the mirror or down on your wrist. Worst part of wrist shots is they always make these look huge ( especially white. ) Great video, keep em coming , cheers
Thanks Mike,,, everything you said is spot on about the watch,, it’s a real stunner. Message me tonight on IG to remind me about the lug to lug and I’ll measure for you...
My favourite style of watch is the field/pilot watch. I find they suit my style and lifestyle best. I've been eyeing up the iwc mark 18, do you have any experience with iwc. I do like the look of Bremont watches, the cases in particular look really nice.
The cases on Bremont are superb,, they feel really solid and great quality. As for IWC,, it would be the Mark18 for me also,,, I really like that watch and would opt for the Le petite Prince version. I liked the Le petite Prince 43mm day date, chronograph but it was too large
@@watchandrew I'm not a fan of chronographs as I find they are usually too big, I really like the look of the le petit Prince, once I have the funds its going to be my next watch and then I'm calling it a day with watches. (I said the same thing when I bought my Rolex, ended up selling it and have bought about 5 watches since 😁)
Life ve my white facd solo 43 too (although mines a special projects version!) - try it on a rich chesnut brown crocodile strap and a bremont deployent clasp....takes it to another level again!
Ok ok Nick! don’t show off just coz I’ve got a poxy standard version 🤣 - I like the idea of the deployent clasp very much! Pricey though.... mines looked great on natos so far as well 👍👍👍
@@watchandrew wearing mine too! I tend to wear mine when working (week days, even tho working from home) and my Pelagos in the evenings/weekends..... i prefer my 2008 CWC SBS to dive with (on extra long cwc nato to go over the dry suit!)
I have just started the video but as to the black Bay I would suggest taking out another link. You never want to wear a loose fitting watch. If you do it makes it look like you bought it off somebody in the streets.
@@watchandrew ive ordered the MB2 with orange case and saved nearly £1500 of retail price as an extra 15% discount added today lol.........just need to tell the wife now 🤬🤬
You been looking at the Ernest Jones sale as well??!! Haha.... hope you left one for me.... GREAT DEAL isn’t it!! Don’t envy that conversation 😆😆 but always better to beg for forgiveness than to ask permission 👏👏👏
@@watchandrew maybe it just lost it already. It’s not like the pouch has been sealed in an airtight container. There is no reason for it not to be leather, leather isn’t even a really expensive material
I looked at the chronometer certificate on my brand new solo . Jesus it was tested in 2012 thats over 8 sodding years ago . Ah whatever it’s a lovely piece .. it will have been lying idol so no wear on the piece ...
It does seem like a long time ago,,, I felt like that with mine,,, but like you say it’s had zero west on it so should be like new any way.... enjoy, they are greet watches
Love the side profiles of bremont, beats just plain steel sides. I would personally put Bremont on the same level as Bell and Ross but they cost more and I think thats their problem.. they should be priced at Oris range.
I like it but personally, I would go for the Stowa Flieger Classic with the white dial. I struggle with Bremont being a luxury brand. the ALT-C has a 7750 inside and retails more than a Moonwatch that is just crazy.
