Great fun. Great projects to see. Really liked the gift of the scissors case. The mouse design with a cat charm! Wish I had a LNS. Have a needlepoint shop 70 minutes away with limited cross stitch but they have 10yd skeins of Gentle Arts floss. Keep stitching
Brenda, so sorry you lost your loyal and furry Scottie, Bailee. Being a Scottie I know she was a sweet girl and brought you lots of joy during her 13 years. You know that Scotties do leave paw prints on your heart and I pray that you will find comfort in all the good memories. Laura, I think we should have a Trick or Treat SAL. I love that pattern and have been meaning to start it for ages. Also, I agree 100% about buying DMC and all one can from your LNS. I am getting so excited about going to "The Attic" for Summer School. I'm sure I won't get a wink of sleep the night before, not that I am going to get much as my flight leaves at 5:40 AM!!! I will have to use toothpicks to prop my eyes open so I can stitch on the plane. LOL And yes, you both inspired me! Thank you!
I started watching then I stop, then I start watching. My daughters had to go back to their homes in Mich, and Georgia. I lost my husband the 16 of July this year suddenly, I’m lost, and I’m so lonely, I have tried to go into sewing room, I just can’t it seems, then I have gotten my cross stitch out in my chair in the living room, especially late at night, I just don’t what to do. But my hubby would sit in the living room hearing my you tubers and he would get so tickled at me because I laugh, so hard, so sitting here listening to you both, makes me smile, you are a blessing to watch. I enjoy so much, ty for being on here,
I am so, so sorry for the loss of your husband. I know this will mean nothing to you right at this moment but I PROMISE YOU, things (your feelings, your motivation for life, your memories) will get better with time- it has for me. Just please, please hang in there and know that the stitching community is rooting for you. Give yourself time, as much time as YOU need.
Oh, Paula, I'm so sorry. My husband passed away January 2, 2021 after a long bout with Parkinson's. I knew what was coming so it wasn't unexpected, but it is so difficult to have your life turned upside down. I knew what "we" liked to watch on TV or read or do, but I was clueless about what "I" liked to do. Please give yourself grace and do things when you feel like it. I found flosstube to be a real comfort--like having loving friends over whenever I wanted a chat. I would turn it on during meals so I didn't have to eat alone. I am a quilter but didn't work on a quilt for 12 months. I did do cross stitch, but found I had to work on smalls on easy to see fabric. I was so easily distracted. It's okay to have days when it doesn't seem you have accomplished anything--you need to give your soul time to heal. If something feels overwhelming, put it aside for now. I did try to keep to a schedule and went to church regularly. I wrote in a gratitude journal every day--at least one thing that I was grateful for. I focused on fixing healthy, balanced meals and tried to take a short walk almost every day. Sometimes that was all I could get done. Some of the hard things, I waited until a close family member was with me so I didn't do them alone. We are a loving, caring, stitching community. We are here for you. Wishing and hoping all the best as you begin a new chapter in your life. Hugs.
Ty everyone, I’m just having such hard time, I know he wouldn’t want me to stop enjoying my cross stitching or my sewing room, I just right now I just don’t have the wants I don’t want to do anything. I’m just so very sad, he was the love of my life, my soulmate. I feel my heart is ripped in half, I don’t feel whole, but I pray and I know the good Lord will help me, and all my crafty friends will too.
Dear Paula...you have our deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband. Such a loss that is hard to bear. We are hoping that in the days to come your stitching brings you comfort and peace. We are with you in spirit and carrying you in our hearts.
Oh it was so good to sit and hear your cheery voices. And I’m all inspired to pick up a needle again. It’s been a while and I had stopped watching all my flosstube and stitching for quite a while. Life man. It’s been hard. But something changed this week and I had a need to see and hear you and I tell you, it did my heart and soul good. And I now have two project bags out that I’m “reviewing” the contents. Thank you. I needed a little Brenda and Laura.

I just joined a sampler FB group as I am getting interested in doing samplers in my future. The colors in some HATS patterns lately speak to the quilter in me too! Enjoy your week ahead!
I got to go to an LNS (The Stitching Bee in Green Bay) and I felt so inspired from weeks of watching your FlossTube that I bought about ten new projects. ❤️❤️❤️

Always a pleasure to watch you ladies. Laura, Katie Strachan has a floss tube tutorial on all the different silk threads with comparisons on how to use them. It's very informative.

Thank you for taking time to inform & entertain us who are fellow cross stitch lovers. I know it takes a lot of time to prepare & organize for these videos. Broken record here…sooo entertaining AGAIN! Y’all spoil me cause I have a blast watching, then i have to wait weeks, months, years before the next one. Hugs to you both, Jeannette
Holy moly you two! I’m watching today while walking on the treadmill and I’m not getting much of a workout because I have to keep stopping so I can make notes on my iPad! Awesome enabling this video! Love Brenda’s finish - such pretty colors! And from where I’m watching, the hem stitching looks fine 😉. Laura - you really were “shooming” a lot these past few weeks! Have a wonderful couple of weeks!
Laura, Thanks for showing the Tooth Fairy pillows. We just found out this week that my niece is expecting her first baby in early January. Have a good couple of weeks both of you.
So sorry to hear about Bailey, Brenda. I know that is a huge hole in your home and your heart. You guys never fail to inspire and entertain - thanks for this great video!
Love you guys, you’re so fun to watch. I’m a big Katie Strachan fan too and I’m 2-2 on her kits, it’s fun to try a totally different spin on the patterns she kits up. Her surface embroidery is amazing. Laura, I paused and bought the thread pack for Live on Little, lol……enable on ❤️
Love the new 1080 camera ladies. I can see everything so vividly! Brenda I’m so sorry you’re going through your loss at this time. It’s so hard losing the ones we love. My heart goes out to you and I hope you find comfort in knowing we all care so much for you and Laura. Great episode with all the loveliness.
Thank you for adding some fun and brightness to my day. As usual, lots of pretty things you're working on or plan to. Laura, Katie has two video recent tutorials on her channel that talks all about the different kinds of silks and how and where you use them. The silks you got look luscious, such pretty colours. Have a happy and healthy next couple of weeks to both of you :)
Brenda, your cuckoo clock has the best timing 😄! Laura, I have been unsettled on my projects too so I understand just what you meant about yours. Thanks for sharing your time and stitching!
What would our worlds be like without friends on both the sublime days and the devastating days... always love to see your friendship and creative love 💕
I also stopped and started watching about a dozen times today. So many things to check out before I forget as I forgot to have pencil and paper beside me. Brenda, so sorry to hear about Bailey. I do like the new glasses-pink is a good color for you. I found so much inspiration in todays samplers. I really, really like the bright ones and the ones done in red. Have fun at Summer School and bring all of us back some eye candy.
Hi! Started the video, stopped the video, schoomed, came back to the video…. And I sure hope I can make it through the rest of video without schooming!! Love all the projects and plans and haul and just everything. Thanks for the video and inspiration! Happy Stitching!!!
What a video of deliciousness and joy!!! Laura, I immediately ordered The Flight by Notforgotten Farm. I loved its dedication to you. Brenda, everything you stitch inspires me. So exciting about Barrie’s FlossTube. It was great. Love you both to pieces.
