I'm a Jamaican, and there's something about the South African rhythm and tone that captivated me (I prayed my ancestors are from the Zulu tribe....I fell in love with Brenda's voice, vibes and her blackness....I just love South Africa....one love to the mother land.
Vulindlela was a national anthem in Nigeria 🇳🇬 that time. We didn’t understand the language but we sang it like no other. I grew up listening to it’s a wedding day 💃 at a point,nI thought she was Nigerian.
That's my home my late young home girl in the Langa Township in South Africa. She made it great in music but unfortunately died young. Whilst she was unknown in Cape Town we stayed in the same Township of Langa and the same street, both musicians with her brother pianist, Themba. I don't want to claim anything but I now live in the UK as a saxophonist and a postgraduate in music. Brenda Fassie was a genius singer/ star at a very your age. Her brother, Themba asked me to take care of her and I did although for a short time because she later ran away to Johannesburg whilst I went to University, when I came back I was told she was gone. Thanks
There'll never be a Brenda ever again - thank you so much Sis Brenda for being the best entertainer in my life. I loved you, I loved your music and I will never forget you. Rest well Diva❤😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
this is the only woman I knew in the media when I was growing and I don't mean to brag but she's the only artist who danced with our presidents... there's only one Brenda ,,,ngyakuthanda sister R.I.P
I started paying attention to anything SA bcse of her. I rmbr the very 1st time I heard her sound in the very early 90s and knew I've discovered a treasure. 2020 and I'm still listening. To me her "soon and very soon" is the best rendition ever attempted by anybody EVER .
I am Nigerian 🇳🇬 and I love that she sings for national peace, unity, and Progress. I love her connection with children. I have learnt many life lessons from her. My childhood was branded by Vulindlela, midodo and Wedding Day
Brenda is an absolute classic no matter what part of Africa you're from. I love her interview footage but I wish there was more. Would be cool to get a more in-depth sense of the woman behind the music. RIP magnificent one!
She was a true superstar, too bad I discovered her late. She's got the best voice I've ever heard. What a charismatic person she was! RIP Brenda , you gave us your best.
Her music will not just be heard and sung for a long time but forever. I heard the "soon and very soon" track being played when growing up as a kid and that's one of her best .Ghanaian and greetings to all south Africans .

Extraordinary human being, I'm glad to meet her in the year 2002 in the Street of Johannesburg, she smiled and kissed me. I will love you forever Marbree
When she was pronounced dead I cried so much, I was hurt to the core. It was mother's day that I remember so clearly.I still say to people that had Mam'Brenda was alive in 2010, that world cup would have been hers🤞🏾
Rest well gorgeous star, just found out you’re dead since 2004 and it’s so heartbreaking, I’ve been tearing up so much since. Death is indeed a wicked course on humanity.
she said if someone try me i'll deal with you now and i'll put Brenda fassie aside lol she was really a true rebellion I've listening to her music since I was 4 and i'm so happy to know her songs
Brenda was an angel who came to earth with a message of love and she did this through her music. Her journey continues her love will resonanate for eternity on this planet while she continues with her journey. Thank you sister Brenda for inspiring me and millions. Great people like Brenda knows that they are only hear for a while I believe that. So rather than us been sad we should thank The Most High God for granting us the privilege to witness and to see one of his many saints...
She was one of the kind. I hope Bathabile Brenda Ngubeni sees this and take notes because we want to see her playing on this legends' movie. I am pretty sure tears will fall on peoples eyes when they use her for the role.
sacré bout de femme partie vraiment trop tôt elle laissse des tres belles chansons et un tres tres beau sourir repose en paix ma grande star i love you
This superstar, had a direct connection with the muse, the unconscuous, creativity poured out of her, music flowed, emotion in motion. Just wow, MaBrr. Wish we had more through you.
If there are more word's to discribe you it is gonna be when we meet again in the paradise.... you're source of inspiration to many including my very self ,you have your best and your best was enough.... sometimes I wish we can turn back the hand's of time but it's so sad and unfortunately nobody can do that because life is just a moment and I believe you really defined the moment with your music...rest in peace mama Brenda fassie ,the voice that suits heavenly singers
Her personality reminds me of Zodwa’s personality. They live their truth, and they do things the way they want, both don’t conform to society expectancies,m. They just don’t care about other people as long as they happy. You are dearly missed Mabrrr, and we share a birthday but different years ofcoz, she is my fellow Scorpio Queen 3rd November Queens
April 16, 2017 What an amazing and beautiful woman. Been listening to her songs all afternoon. would loved to have met and known her. Not racist white ex British in canada.
