Brenda Jones Remembers the March on Washington 

Brenda remembers that the March on Washington struck her emotionally when she saw a huge sea of people from The Washington Monument, past the Reflection Pool, up to the Lincoln Monument. It was a feeling of hope, peace, purpose, and unity with so many people coming together. Although it was a casual decision to attend for the then 20-year-old, she’s grateful to have made the decision to attend because it words couldn’t express how incredible it was to see and be a part of.
