Becky talks with Brenda Lee,a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, about her career, the music industry, her family and her future plans.
She says she is healthy and had a couple of health scares but got by them. I saw a interview in 2018 of her. She briefly talked about health scares. But thank goodness she got by them. She was born in 1944. I envy the people she has known in her life.
I think Elvis should have learned breathing technics. He was born with lung issues. Not allot of people know that. Elvis and his mother were in the hospital for two weeks after Elvis was born. After he was born they almost lost him and his mom.
Even though I am a Motown & R & B fan, this Lady takes no back seat to any voice. Brenda Lee can sing with the best. No, she is the best. Love Brenda Lee!!!
Hall of Famer in everything! She’s the biggest seller in history of all female singers...has every award! She started at 10 years old. I remember her from the beginning!♥️🎶🎶🎶🎶
A true American treasure! Thank you, Brenda! Hearing you speak for the first time just verified how amazing and humble I sensed you were. As well as so talented. I hope you can perform forever!
I have always liked Brenda Lee, one of my favourite singer, saw her concert in Thailand in the late 60s, what dynamite, she was so simple and friendly. Loved her!
Other than her music I never knew anything about Brenda Lee. After watching this interview all I can think of is--What a nice and good person she is. I think she's had a good life through good decision making and especially by having had an excellent Mother. This is the way it should be. Just beautiful.
Love Her,, how can you not love her even more after this? Brenda Lee,, Connie Francis,, The Supremes-Mary Diana & Florence,,,, "Rock n' Roll & POP Music Royalty".. Thanks for this
Back in March of 1983, Brenda, Roy Acuff and Ricky White "opened" for the cast and the debut of the show, "Sing, Tennessee", which was "Opryland's" new show that year. Being in the show, I was able to speak with Brenda for a few moments and, just like you see in this interview, what you see is what you get - A GOOD, HUMBLE, LOVELY LADY!!!!! I can't find the words to say what a treasured memory it is that I was so fortunate to meet the incredible Brenda Lee. Thank you SO MUCH for posting this!
I met Brenda & her husband in an elevator at Vanderbilt Hospital in 1972---- My dad was a patient ( and later died) Brenda was visiting family as well! In those days Brenda was a redhead leaving 'pop' music & became more of a country singer, always will remember that day! God bless!
Brenda started out with nothing and at 15 she was an international superstar, but she is too modest and humble to explain the reason for that success. So, I will. The reason is simply that she was better than all the rest.
I loved your story Ms Lee - Thankyou to you and your family for sharing your God given talent to the world and making what is a wonderful world, a better world for having you xx

That was a wonderful interview. I saw her at a concert in Boston many years ago. She put on a fabulous show and was very generous of her time. One of the all time greats.
I am her age and I grew up listening to and loving this lady. The greatest voice and is still performing in 2022. Growing up in Alabama, I had a good friend that looked and sounded a lot like Brenda. Her brother was Spooner Oldham and he would have his band practice at their house. Judy and I would listen, not knowing that he would one day be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! We were only 13 .. My sweet friend passed away 2 yrs ago and everytime I see or hear Brenda Lee, I think of Judy. Brenda Lee is my very favorite singer.❤
Brenda Lee, la mejor de todas las cantantes de la época y la más grande de todas a pesar de ser ella bajita pero una gran interprete y una baladista incomparable. Que dios la bendiga.
ONE OF THE GREATEST SINGERS EVER. A TRUE AMERICAN WHO GAVE HER GOD GIVEN TALENT TO OUR COUNTRY. SHE IS WHAT A CHRISTIAN IS ALL ABOUT. THE LOVE OF UNCONDITIONAL SACRIFICE.
