They already tried bringing Huerter off the bench in Atlanta and his production dropped. That’s why they eventually moved Bogi from the starting lineup to the bench, even though Bogi was the better overall player.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s traded. But, if he’s on the roster at the start of the year I’d bet he’s starting again

The Roomer is Orlando probably only wants to offer 2 years guaranteed to any free agents.

Malik has been known to be a straight up hooper not just a bag chaser. He was whilling to take a significantly less payroll in LA it’s not surprising he wouldn’t wanna do it in sac where he’s been most successful

You do realize he took the minimum in LA cuz nobody wanted him? He said it himself. I’m Malik’s biggest fan, not hating, just wanted to clarify that. He said himself he was almost out the league at that point. I think that’s why he was willing to take a pay cut here, he won’t take this situation for granted.

The whole Monk/Huerter situation was mainly because Huerter was better working the 2-man game with Sabonis with both having more a cerebral apporach, reading the game and their opponents decision and make last minute adjustments to their pick and pop movements, meanwhile Monk's more direct and straight forward playmaking worked really well running HIS 2-man game with a rim-runner like JaVale McGee. Huerter is too cerebral for the bench bigs like Len/McGee (overpassing, misunderstanding each other were seen last season between Huerter and our bench bigs). Monk just simply helps the bench much more directly than Huerter. There wouldn't have been questions had Huerter shot the ball better overall, but alas, seems like he doesn't have an extra gear once the league caught up with their 2-man game.

I think Malik starts next season. Ellis will fill Malik's old role very well.

No he don’t let him come off the bench

I can’t see Ellis providing similar playmaking to what Malik did off the bench

Keon, defensively? For sure. Playmaking? Not really

I agree. Start monk and just make sure to have at least one of fox, monk, or sabonis on the court at all times

13:30 I guess this is why Carmichael Dave is popular with the locals, don't look at a gift horse in the mouth. Monk surely feels like he found his spot with the Kings, from how the city embraces him to how he reunite with his buddy Fox and how so many rookies (Keegan, Davion, to name a few) credited Monk as their mentor, all the way down to how much he loves the convenience of golfing locations. $20 mil is a lot of money but as an athlete, you have a very short prime window and at this point I'd think Monk thought it's worth the money loss and choose to go down fighting with THIS band of Kings brothers.

And bro of the left doesn’t realize. If malik waited it out but really wanted to stay on the kings. The kings could’ve made moves without malik being in their plans which could’ve affected Malik’s role. There doesn’t always have to be a catch ! Maybe he just wanted to stay and make sure his role was planted!

kings still can't stop anyone and somehow management believe having the same team again next year will be any different is beyond incompetent. kings owner need to sell the team to someone who know how to run a team. as a kings fan for over 25 years i am getting sick and tired of deja vu.

This is a bad take. The owner they have saved the city and at least has helped bring in a competent GM and HC. Yes they need defense. They know this. This is why they were trying to acquire Caruso. Maybe let the off-season and draft play out before overreacting.

Mike Brown threw Davion Mitchell under the bus and Shasha and Lyles basically didn’t play he played Harrison Barnes and Keon Ellis and the team went backwards

@@kings_pulse Hell no the team lost to the teams that they should’ve won all season and they won 46 games The year before when Davion was playing they won 48 games
@Weather_Nerd

No. Davion could not provide any offense whatsoever and was dribbling the ball way too much and overthinking the game so he gave up on him for a while. Davion clearly saw how he could help the team while being benched and came back as the best Davion we have seen yet. Stopped dribbling so much. Started having quick reactions and movements. It actually helped him… And to say we won 48 games with Davion is wild. We literally had a different team with guys like TD and Metu playing quite often. Len, Lyles, Fox, Huerter, Sasha, and Monk all got injured at one point. Guarantee they win 48-51 games if Monk alone doesn’t get injured. Defense as a team improved drastically, offense not a ton different despite our shooters underperforming and the entire team save for 1-2 guys shooting worse from FT. Lost games they shouldn’t have way too many times for sure which was disheartening but is what it is

@@marknash6398 Keon clearly outplayed Davion. Saying him playing over Davion is the reason the Kings lost 2 more games last year is wild lol.
