I am an oldschool hardstyle fan and I have to say that I enjoy this song. The melody, the kick in the mid-intro and the climax let me get hope into future hardstyle. Sure not every track is perfect but this what makes it interesting, like back in the days.

I like the melody and the vocals. The first part of the kick is from BH, but the effects, Melody and second part (03:40) are from Tone shifters.

I think it has to do with veteran Hardstyle producers often have a different view regarding vocals than the mainstream crowd. For veteran hardstyle producers who grew up with the genre when it barely was any vocals or if there was vocals it was mostly random words or of no important meaning as it was like a protest against mainstream music. Later on vocals started being used more and more and Year of Summer was like among the very first tracks to even include sung vocals and now the big part of the crowd kinda expect them (to have meaningful message or whatever or else it's bad). Large part of the producers treat the vocals no more than a track filler. I personally don't think vocals is important for hardstyle, I rarely ever even put attention to what they are saying, if it fits the track with its type and sound design, that's all I care about. (Hardstyle producers I think often have that mentality as well) :)

I didn't mean it that way. Yes, i like vocales if placed well, regardless if they mean something or not. But many tracks would be better just without them.... If they don't sound nice, leave them the fck out of a masterpiece ^^ I cringe everytime i hear something like "this is hardstyle" or "this is the sound of hardstyle" or how in here " i am hardstyle" (or whatever they're saying) there are so many examples... It just sounds like the producer needed to strech the song a few seconds... Theres just no point in using this kind of vocals imo...There are many good examples for well placed vocals, like zatox or wasted penguinz, but many tracks would just be better without them. If a producer doesn't want to put much effort in text writing, i think he should just let it out instead of speaking in pointless words to fill up space.... He could just place some synth instead and it would be nice.

So damn generic. There's literally nothing that separates this from any other generic euphoric hardstyle song. It's funny how for the past like 5 years Brennan has used the same kick in every single one of his tracks. It's a shame that such talent as Brennan Heart is wasted because of laziness and not experimenting with new sounds and ideas. Real shame.
