63 years old. With you on that one Age, generation, makes no difference when it comes to music If you haven't already, check out Robert Miles - Children
'96 or 97, I went to the Lilith Faire with my GF at the time. Between sets, they were playing music and in this case, it was Delerium's Silence....and I was hooked....i spent the next couple months looking for that song and finally found it. Then came this gem and I was sold. It's been my fave trance interpretation and remains so to this day. To those celebrating the song in 2024, we are joined together in that wonder!
I miss this Tiësto. Saw him play for almost an empty floor and then develop himself into the trance god. Maybe I am old but I can't listed to the crap he makes now
My god, so amazing to listen to all these years since it’s release. I’m 50 now and I feel the euphoria every time I listen to it. Don’t think I saw a single phone there. The good old days when it was all about the moment and the atmosphere and not about image and pretentiousness. Man I wish I could go back even for just this track. Tiesto you are a legend 👌
Top comment. 100% agree. It’s almost worth it to become deaf from this song (from the speaker quality/loudness). Must be one of my most listened to tracks, although I try to not listen to it too much. Still insanely good.
I just turned 50, April 19 2024, still playing this tune , still giving me chills 😎 soooo great full for growing up in the 80s, 90s , no phones, no social media rubbish , raving around the south west, #memories 👌🏻👌🏻
It’s weird that I’m filled with almost overwhelming emotion when I hear this track, I still get goosebumps every single time I hear it. I’m almost 32 now and I grew up listening to it being played by my older siblings in there rave days and my kids have grown up listening to me play it, my 7 year old son requests this exact mix whenever he’s in the car with me and I swear he loves it as much as I do, seeing him close his eyes and really feel at one with the music on the high note just before the drop (my favourite part of the song) makes me feel so proud! To me this is hands down the best song ever made. ❤️
98-04 were legendary years more me as far as living my life full throttle.. Wide open, anything felt possible.. These tracks will always take me back to that time and I'm forever grateful to have lived it. Don't care how old get... I'll be bumpin this as long as I'm alive.
This track was the one which made me fall in love with Trance music. An era of its best! And it's not only the music. It's the time anyway. Where the people and the sociality were more united. Enjoying every moment without mobile phones or anything else that is disturbing us from a joyful experience. I feel blessed I experienced this Trance era at its best and I am grateful to Tiesto who gave me so much inspiration in the patterns of music and how you can connect people through it while mixing. For the brothers and the sisters of this era, a big tight hug to all of you my friends!
I'm the exact same this was my favourite trance tune back in the day and opened up the door to other uplifting trance. I would love to find modern trance like this but like u2 I still haven't found what I'm looking for
@@rickybaillie4222 I feel you mate. It's actually very rare to find something so close. Because the music industry, trade and technology must always go along with the current era society. However I suggest you listen to this one if you like emotional Trance. Not like then but still reminds me a lot by building such feelings. There is also an extended mix. Jesus...today's generation have no idea what good time is!!! I am so grateful I lived through Tiesto Carl cox etc. Those were the good good good times!!!! Wow..getting chills...
You said it bud, takes me back. Loved my clubbing days. When I was less hairy and could drink without much of a hangover. Now I feel out of place in a club. Old man lol. Could to relive it in the mind.
It's scary isn't it. That's what happens when we don't show who's boss. Even trance today is poor. If only I had access to the sounds I could bring the 90s back
It's 2021 and we're in our 40's have job's, families , responsibilities!.. but how many of us would drop everything to go to an old school trance like this and trip out for one responsibility free night! Like we did 20-25 years ago in the hay day of trance/EDM!
You guys still can just get a babysitter bro 😂 nah But fr im 22 and I went to Edc and saw a lot people your age chilling over there it was nice seeing that I still got time to have fun
Bro I'm also in 40s now with fam and responsibilities - would most def drop it all for just one more night like this shit and party like rock stars - roll and trip out happy all night - yeah man - glow sticks and all - just rocking it and loving everyone 🤟🤩🥳🎉
I dont like Tiesto 😢. Elements of life is Stolen from Michiel de Jong. The business is stolen from DJ August 77-the golden Cage. Traffic is stolen from Sean Deason
Not necessarily this version but my children have already been instructed years ago that I want this song played at my funeral. Not trying to be morbid or anything and I am only 57 so hopefully that doesn’t happen anytime soon but I do hope and I believe they will honor my wishes
The epitome of electronic music - nothing will ever come close to this quality, relevance, or influence ever again. And this is at least 23 years old. No one, not even 2023 Tiesto will ever match it.
My dad absolutely loves this type of music , especially this song. So whenever my and my sibling go on rood trips or late night drives he’ll blast this until our ears blow up and it’s so beautiful, even till this day as a teen I still continue to love this and these songs have pretty much shaped my music taste now. I’ll never forget those memories I have with this song and this music and feelings.
Yes the 90's and early 20's... Wow what a great time to be in your early years! Fantastic... Great music, great people and no smart phone's!! I've a daughter of 20 and I love her to bits but I just wish she could experience life with out a phone...
It never happened for me lol I'm 26 and was 6 years old in 2000. So I'm gonna DJ one a set with music like this at my wedding. It's gonna be HUGE. Don't know when it'll happen, but it will.
I'm 96 now and this music still gets me buzzin.....i can't hear a fukin thing but he's a boss clapper and all those hands in the air givin me chills. 😁👍🏻
@@Solmoun I would pay a small fortune to visit these clubs and gladly keep my phone off or check it like a coat! I just want to see live music, strobes, lazers, great people with great vibes with their arms in the air and smiles on their faces. Sweaty, happy energetic people sharing one consciousness and celebrating music, life, culture. Thank god for all the media available online. It's barely keeping me sane. This is a link to my favorite Tiesto. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k2u3MXDmUPY.html I really like his older techno self produced tracks and remixes he has done throughout his career. He's the best remixer in my opinion in all of electronic music.
We need a Tiesto and Fatboy slim gig no phones allowed . Wonder is it possible . Of your seen with a phone your out that's it no exceptions lol yet here I am typing instead of listening to this . Ok phone down music up 🙌🙌
Listening to this song as I write about it in my second book...how I was in a dark place as a teenager and music like this absolutely saved me in the late 90s early 2000s. Today these songs still hit as hard ❤
This song literally takes you in another world. The world where all of can feel free and be happy together as human beings...41 yrs old and still feel like 20 when I listen to this music.. pure beauty 😍🤩😍
I'm 64, retired from the club scene over 20 years ago. This tune, in it's various mixes always guaranteed my feet would be well and truly on the dancefloor..
Same here, Paul. I'm 56 and still can't sit still while listing to this. IT GET'S ME GOING BIG TIME.....Likewise, I really miss these times. No phones, dammit. JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC THE MOMENT.
I was in a disco in Berlin some time ago, an 80-something was there, dancing like hell, moving slowly, his eyes closed. If I get there I will do the same.
Paul G I've turned 70 but still love this stuff , just take two more paracetamol, keeps you young man . Bouncing , anyone who doesn't like this is dead 💀
I saw Tiesto preform this live in Miami when it first came out; I also have several copies and remixes on vinyl. I’m so blessed to have been part of this magical musical slice of time , great vibes amazing music. 😎
You want to talk about a song that is timeless? This is it!!!! I turn it up in my headphones, close my eyes & I'm transported to a wonderful place where nothing matters & all I feel is peace!!!
I'm 22 and this is the best trance song I've ever heard in my life. The old school sound has just the right amount of kick to it, mixed with phenomenal vocals. Respect!
@@andrewcreecy some were, wife and I, her brother and gf, and some of our other trance friends knew it and were dancing. Played this, Carte Blanche, Saving Light. Pretty epic.
This song was my father and I's favourite. I grew up with Tiesto and he loved Sarah's music. We laughed about it since it was a mix of styles and generations at the time. I'm listening right now with tears in my eyes, rest well dad. 🖤
Just read your message. Sorry you loss your Dad my friend! And I know exactly where you are coming from. They're some songs that actually makes you think about people who we loved that passed away! This jam is definitely one of them! I loss my Mother in 2014! While playing this my mind is actually thinking about her too!🎉
I remember hearing this for the first time aged 36 ,now 60 Age is just a number ... At some point in time the younger generations will call this old ,but I'm damned sure some will say ,why don't they make music like this anymore
I am 21 years old and the reason why i started to djing and producing is because of Tiesto. This is not just a genre, this is a feeling and whenever i listen to this or open this track or any of his tracks at any party, everyone including me get goosebumps. I wish i could go back to the time that i've listened this for the first time. I'll never forget that this is unremarkably makes you feel what you can't feel.
Well everyone must repent and trust in god you there’s a hell for the sinners and heaven for the righteous the blood of Jesus can make you righteous and without blemish. Repent guys I did the holy sprit came into my sprit and I don’t smoke anymore swear it’s not one prayer for forgives but one prayer can be very powerful repent guys Jesus is coming
Just started compiling my new "Childhood Bangers" playlist and you just can't miss Tiesto and especially this song. Timeless masterpiece!! Wish I could experience again just 10 minutes of the good old hype... Like if never stopped, like if never disappeared... Greetings to my Party Armada people all over the world!!
I'm 52 and it still sends chills through out my body, it just does it for me, 52 or not I'm shaking my booty like a 20 yr old on this song, my sons just laughs at me, they say...mama you are going to pull a muscle, nothing wrong with being young at heart with such a super compilation, DJ Tiesto YOU ROCK BRO ! 🤜 RESPECT
Im 52 as well and i can not sit still to this song... I dance like crazy around my house and i live alone so who cares how crazy i might look. Its an absolute masterpiece!!!!
This brings tears to my eyes...makes me think of the late 90s, the parties, the good friends I had, meeting the girl who I thought I'd be with forever. Sadly, we've all gone our separate ways now; but when I hear this, it's like we're all together again...even if just for a few minutes,.....
Truth brother. Unfortunate part of life, but in our darkest moments we remember those times, and whom we shared them with and it brings a sense of joy that is beyond comparison
profesas That’s so true, good things never last!! The older we get, the more we will lose ppl....”All those great moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain” YOLO
Amen man. This song hits me really hard as well. I cry easily to it. It hits home. Hits years where i viewed life in so many mysterious ways. Fucking beautiful.
God... those times were amazing!! No terrorism, no pandemic, no social medias...just real freedom to be yourself....!!! All of the people there are one at this exact moment....truly happy enjoying life...Happy that I was part of it and sad that today's young generation will never know this....
we are the only ones that can make this a far nicer place for our innocent children to grow up in so let us unite with the power of God and see where it takes us world peace and trips to our solar system maybe?? xxxxx
this song and Matt Darey feat Marcella Woods - Beautiful and also Shhh, Be Quiet, Listen. link for shh for people ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-egAIhsuHwu4.html
Banger from the 90's. We were there, we were free, we raved, we loved, we lived, we danced, we sang... We were part of the movement - oh to be 17 again!
takes me back to a lighter time of life where there was no people staring into "little screens" and wondering what their "freinds" were saying about them on "social media" a time of enjoyment, love and who the hell cares! beatiful disco,s and nightclubs which you could visit with no question and everyone living and having "fun" where has it gone ? beatiful music as ever, bringing these fabulous memories back,.... lol...
Gets me every time ❤️ when I was a 17 year old girl I would sit in my car and listen to this I cried like a baby cuz of life. I am 36 and can’t be happier, thank you music and this song for holding me up I couldn’t have made it
@@ishamsinha5878 the basic premise and vocals are delerium indeed. And Delerium is a genius for producing such quality. But let's not mistake things. Delerium made something amazing, yet Tiesto transformed it into something unforgettable
I'm still playing this - mostly in the car, on my own, loudly. That drop @5.05 - omg it doesn't get any better. I saw Sarah McLachlan in concert in 2004, I can't begin to tell you how good it was.
This track is timeless, ethereal and has the ability to transport me to a state of mental travel of infinite aerial landscapes. In my opinion, it is one of the best trance tracks of all time.
Agreed. Only a few I can think of that can muster feelings similar...ferry corsten's remix of barber's adagio for strings, verracocha - carte blanche, wippenberg mix of light a rainbow, above and beyond - satellite...can think of more actually. I still love trance without revisiting it often these days...
Kristal Burston Tiesto was the king of Trance at one point in time. He won the worlds #1 DJ. As he became more popular he sold his soul as many would say and bailed on playing trance and started playing Pop EDM. So many look at it as s he turned his back on the many millio s of trance fans and went the pop route and played only what was popular. From someone who has seen Tiesto many many times, he is not the same. If i listen to tiesto ifs late 90s early 2000s. Listen to his trance energy 2000 mix recoreded new years eve 1999 into 2000. Still one of the best mixes ever imo.
Gracias infinitas Dios mío por escuchar a DJ Tiesto en vivo en Sydney Australia, eso es un privilegio y una bendición definitivamente,es un show único e inolvidable😉👏🙏
I yearn for those days!!!! Those were THE Greatest times of my life! I had the best guy and TOTALLY fu*ked it BAD. I'm so terribly sorry and will be forever. I love you, Jerry. im just sorry.
Genuinely might be the best song of all time, heard almost daily but not a soul will ever skip it. The euphoria you feel the first time you hear the drop on MDMA/psychs is still always there, timeless masterpiece.
