Brennan has a story (several probably) about living in New York, barely scraping by, budget for food brutally low and having a pact with his friends that they would go for super cheap dumplings once in a while, when their spirit was about to break. And I truly believe that man has compensated for the lack of food in that time of his life ever since, I mean I can understand if you would have a "quantity over quality" mindset with food forever, after living piss poor in NYC in your 20's barely eating enough to function.
@@mariebookish4625 you're correct, I got a Dropout subscription after listening to that episode of Dear Hank and John just because I liked Brennan so much lmao, I do not regret it even a little
He loves to tell that Milano story. He has brought it up on Dirty Laundry. The 99 questions podcast. He has brought it up in multiple adventuring parties as well. I love the story, but, man, I could use it as a monologue at this point, lol.
Yeah, I just need to find all instances, collect any unique details from each, it will be epic and probably 10 minutes long, thank you for your contribution
Don't get me wrong, I love the story. It is going to be my next acting audition monologue if I ever need one. It has everything. Drama. Comedy. Hunger. A big corporation that goes back on a promise. A real David and Goliath story.
As a child, I was prohibited from eating candy, soda, and most kinds of junk food due to GERD. I would get nauseous even just looking at food, had to carry towels and paper bags to school bc I would throw up constantly with no warning. Now, at 20 years old, much healthier and only slightly underweight, I kinda feel that through eating stuff just bc it tastes good and having a tasty snack sometimes (with moderation of course, im still more sensitive than most) im healing that small child that couldn't eat like other kids at birthday parties, and had to refuse delicious food that could destroy my day in minutes. Thank you for this compilation, it makes me happy to see another person so appreciative of eating good food with no guilt. Kisses from Brazil!!
i was pleasantly surprised to see another brennan food compilation, i didn't realize how much material is out there that i have missed out on o.o Thanks for another great video !
@@ianpeters1980 I really hope so. He's from New York City though, that's pretty far away from Rochester. I'd love to believe that he knows about it, it perfectly fits the parameters of a "good meal" for him.
yo thank you for making these-- its weirdly cathartic to watch someone get so excited about something, this is kinda what i imagine the appeal of mukbangs are lmao
I already have the first video in a sleep playlist and this one is going right after it. I rewatch it like once a day because its been such a comfort and now you've blessed me again. Thank you for your service!
Wait what my comment's in this video! Also y'all talking about wanting to feed Brennan makes me think I'd like to get him to try a one-pot pasta I had perfected from my old Uni days. Starchy as hell, calorific-horrific, but scares the shit out of my depression. Sounds like something he'd love!
well then I simply must thank you for saying hello again. I have a whole problem with diet culture so I love all the comments talking about brennan (via the odd road of my brainworm project) helping people heal srsly imagine him complimenting food you made for him, most excited man in the world, a dream
I believe that Brennan tells a bit more of the car accident/Tony Pepperoni t-shirt story in his Adventuring Academy episode with Molly Ostertag (season 1), if you still want to collect all the pieces
Seeing and knowing that someone is this deep in. as far as I am is such a joy such a lovely feeling the blessing of the sequel is an uplifting feeling that I treasure and thank you for
@@LostLifetimes I'm too asexual to make specifically horny vids, but I know what the people like. I was surprised how many people don't know about fallen for you, so I'm still in too deep. I put in the 👀 at 20:19 for a reason
@@LostLifetimes If I included him breaking the poker face the video would've been too long. There's plenty of grimacing and sweating in "Cursed to Golf - IndieLand 2022 ft. Brennan Lee Mulligan"
I did wonder if the reason the almond rant wasn't in your first was because of the theme. I'm so glad to have it here. As well as the rest of this video. SO MANY CLIPS! Anytime Brennan starts with, "so back in NYC..."
6:50 my bf and I were sitting in a drive through when my car overheated and shut down. When my family came to help us we were just sitting in the car with our food cause it was cold asf outside. Out of nowhere there was a huge BANG from the hood of my car with a lot of steam coming out. My first thought was “ my cars going to explode” and my first reaction as to grab the bag of food as I ran from the car. My car wasn’t blowing up, my uncle was just dumb and took the radiator cap off when it was still hot, he didn’t get burned luckily just embarrassed. As soon as my car was fixed I ate tf out of my food
I HAD TO COMMENT. I have also been in a car crash and also went to a diner and immediately started eating while the rest of my companions sat shell shocked. In my defense, I was hungry.
On the off chance that Brennan ever comes back to Toronto and stumbles across the comment section of this video prior to doing so, *go to Plan B*!!! It's a bit aways from the downtown core, but fuck if it's not worth the commute, and it'd be right up his alley of food preferences. It's a South African restaurant that made me shed actual tears when I ate there, and the menu is all meat, babyyyy.
I gotta say, I truly love this and your other video. I have a weird relationship with food, but seeing Brennan so unabashedly enjoy it has made me take the time to really find out what I like, and I hope to get to at least half the levels of enjoyment he has. And I certainly enjoy a chicken parm now thanks to him If you ever make another (especially with the *new* chicken parm section in Fantasy High Junior Year ep 4) there's a great video where he makes a drink from Starstruck and just absolutely chugs it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P6fbMe-ai8A.html. Thank you so much, hope you're having a wonderful week!
between dropout stuff and the new p4a I did get a lot of material this week, though I'm not ready to make another food video yet. clips from how to drink were in the first video, it's so happy
Brennan and I have so many things in common. We would have so many good conversations SPECIFICALLY about food, not including comedy, dnd, or other nerdy shit. I, too, am like a hobbit, except Im tall.
without a more specific focus of the question, the best answer I can give is I'm a perfectionist and I think of it like my art projects where details have to connect and flow throughout a piece. I can also say that there was an earlier version of the almond king bit where I spent a ton of effort getting timing exactly how I wanted it, and that got lost in struggling with files, and this one I put back together in ten minutes with just a little bit of cutting and balancing volume. no one would have noticed a difference, sometimes it's allowed to be easy
both are on dropout. the fried things is from "psychic gameshow", fmk chicken is an episode of college humor podcast, I think 'the smart watch says when you'll die'
Hi hi! Another amazing showstopping compilation ahhh I’m glad I inspired you 🥰 The weaving of sources of Brennan telling the same story but with differing details really intrinsically fits in with the “passionate” descriptor of this compilation - this man will make make sure this anecdote will live on just from how chaotically absurd it is from an outsider pov. Also 11:59 is the most confrontational I have seen this man and again, this is Passionate in neon letters. I see your vision in the inclusion of each clip and I love every bit of it. Lastly, can I ask how you discovered these clips? This man has been Everywhere but aside from popular channels, I can’t track down the more niche things he’s been on (ie: didn’t know about the indie land stream until here)
Specifically that Rekha bit was recommended by banette888 in the comments of the original, tried to do a little shout out in onscreen text, a lot of the weird small stuff was in this long weird playlist I found, messing around with RU-vid search filters does some good. There's some I'm still generally curious about, I've found the Applebee's commercial he's talked about but not the sam Addams one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8JdpS2siFXE.htmlsi=iZLjB2KXDDbmRcgx This has ruined me, I think of it every time Sam does his little amuse bouche intro
That sorta feels like the big two from this one, there were more smaller clips in the first one and the fact that I'm in too deep means I was surprised how many people didnt recognize stuff
