My first exposure to Brent Mason's music couldn't be more obscure. TNN (The Nashville Network) used this song, Hot Pickin' and others for commercial bumpers on TNN Motorsports broadcasts of NASCAR races, and also NASCAR commercial advertisements in the early to mid 90's.
Hiding behind humbuckers, distortion, and compression. Not in the same class with Brent and The Players. Not even close! Faking it with "jerky" attitude. What a moron!
Frampton is a dinosaur moron. Out of his league. Frampton=mindless bald-headed pentatonic wanking. Mason play circles around him, and can play framptons boring shit plus much more. Go slam a couple of bottles of ensure, change your depends, and go back to the nursing home loser. Take frampton with you while your at it. .....jeezzzz....what an ignorant dipshit you are.
Cool. Just discovered these guys. Now I know two kickass bands called the Players. The other one is from 1987, with Jeff Berlin, Steve Smith, Scott Henderson and T. Lavitz.

micheal rhodes is a new face to me. what a great way about the stage he has aswell as being such a superb and exciting bassist. ty for putting a name to the face mixinear.
Her seems pretty pleased at the end. Thought Frampton held his own to be honest - different style to Brent, more old school, rougher - but that's his style.
He can do slow cooking soulful when he wants. Seen him many times in Nashville set in at clubs all across town . Super nice, humble, very approachable. Good guy. There is no set of you tube videos that show his true depth and knowledge.
Mason developed from much more than Jazz. He can play many styles convincingly, soulfully, and with his tasteful personal twist. Much more taste & sophistication in his phrasing. He can do the boring meat/potatoes blues rock stuff in his sleep. He's content being a first call session guy, playing on countless Nashville albums. He's a musician's musician in a town full of hot players.
