Is there a recording of the entire show? I wish I could've seen him in this. I saw the original and it remains one of my favorite musicals. I did see Brent in Sunday in the Park, so I knew who he was before ST:TNG.
I will say i got to see him on broadway, the conflict with jefferson was great, when he says he'll make mr J write it, the two actors showed the seeds of a hatred that would last decades.

I agree. Brent Spiner and William Daniels are both great with this number. I have the movie version of "1776" on Blu-ray. William Daniels did both the stage musical and the movie version.
