I am actually really pleased that he gave us a performance as Data once again (probably the last time) despite him not really wanting to do that, which i can totally understand. And even thou his appearance in "Picard" will only be a very brief moment probably… i'm still very glad we got it. So yea Brent. Thank you :) It really is a lovely gift to the fans and it is MUCH appreciated. I just wish it was in the Prime universe and not CBS' "30% different because license-issues" Universe.
@@kennethbaker5223 Where are you getting your delusions that any Star Trek produced by Kurtzman and Bad Robot are actually good shows let alone set in the same universe as the Classic Star Trek series produced before 2009? I don't see the nihilism in the pre-2009 Star Trek series for one thing, and that's a HUGE difference right there. You honestly think Star Trek wasn't hopeful? Answer me that smart guy and stop deflecting with the percentage business because frankly if a show that dares to call itself Star Trek IS nihilist then that's 100% different than what I saw before 2009.
@@AvengerII LOL I didn't bring up the percentages, dumbass. The person that I was responding to did that. If reading comprehension is going to be a problem for you, our interaction will be very limited. You sound just like the fans that bitched about every incarnation of Star Trek being not "real Star Trek" since 1987. I know that this may be hard for you to understand and to process, but this show clearly wasn't created, produced, or designed for it's aging, anal, whiny, canon-obsessed fans. That fanbase is fading away, and isn’t large enough anymore to keep Enterprise from being cancelled, or Nemesis from tanking. DSC was designed for a younger, more progressive, open-minded group. This was necessary to keep the franchise alive. If this show was designed similar to its older shows, it would have died a slow and painful death, like Enterprise. It was created, written, and produced to be unlike any Star Trek product to date. You're clearly in Star Trek's rear-view mirror, and that was NOT by accident. LOL
i hope he does show up on discovery, bc then itll be a such a reunion for him. he playd noonian's ancestor in enterprise, the miracle of him playing noonian now is close to none. and yet still plausible xD
Truly, it's because of that goofing around on set that the group became such a tight-knit family and worked so well together. Michael Dorn tells the story of how the set of DS9 was so different from that (but still a great series in my opinion).
Fantastic panel. Love how much they talk about Brent's theater career. Thanks for posting. P.S. Do you by chance have a full video of the Doctor's panel to post?
I wish I had been able to wait in line for him at Fan Expo Toronto a few years back. Watched him enthusiastically speaking and signing , until he was one of the last Artists there. Long line for a reason!
I kept expecting him to talk about his new show Picard. A branding issue...Marketing thought Stewart would get more viewers, but it's really a show about Data, and so on.
The scenery is a little awkward. TNG themed panel, TNG actor, most topics are about the Picard show but the big wall behind him says "Discovery". Have you ever seen something being more out of place? ...
Brent is a very talented actor, remember that episode where he got possessed by thousands of aztec gods? he played everyone flawlessly and switched between them in seconds.
Last year you had more panels. Sadly this is your only one? Guess you got out of the Nimoy Theater more times this year to disappointment of us that wanted to see more panels :(
@@jaimebastidas358 I await with hope you got many I look wanted to see panel wise. Thanks for capturing the Beth Toussaint moment at Dorn/Crosby/McFadden panel yesterday with the captions in 2018 last year :)
Data, Riker, Troi, Seven and Hugh are only returning for episode 1. It's just Picard and the new cast for the other 9 episodes of season 1. So says the IMDb.
Having all them back is like when William Shatner played Kirk in the movies he was great but he wasn't Kirk if that makes since. It was like he was TJ Kirk or James T Hooker. . .Seven of Nine isn't the same anymore. Picard is still Picard but the rest have lost their Star Trek. . . Just sayin
I would just like to say hello Data. Thanks for thousands of hours of entertainment. Look at my avatar thanks to your character I'm able to get over 100 mpg in my car.
@@JayV98 many didn't, but I liked it a lot, but that was because Anson Mount was great and the writing was improved (other characters were more likable as well). A show with him and number one (and the irascible engineer) would be good. Jar Jar burnham was less annoying (perhaps) then earlier.
Brent, always good. Organization of event, thou. He should already know where to sit, host should do most of the to talking when he came out. Musicians should know when to stop, which wouldn't of been their fault but the organizers of the event. Great set, thou.
