Reading Bret's book at the moment and he's burying Bruce so much, it's hilarious. He basically loves half his siblings and mercilessly trashes the rest. 😂
@@johnnyrambo856Brett is way better and more entertaining than almost anyone to step in the ring. Goldberg fucken sucks in the ring lmao. He had no stamina.
He just doesn't care. He's on a legends contract and he still takes every chance he can to slag off HHH. In a world where everyone licks HHH's arse because he's the future owner, it's quite refreshing to have someone take him down a peg.
HHH was a dick. That goes without saying. He is the boss or at least boss light now in the only worldwide wrestling promotion in the world because TNA is on the way out. Everyone hates HHH because he's shit, Bret Hart says he's shit. he is shit because his match with Reigns at mania was basically a Smackdown main event because all his matches are punches, high knee's and pedigrees. Sometimes he hides his predictive, repetitive, boring style by hitting someone with a sledgehammer, but that don't make him a good wrestler, it just means he has guys doing everything to make him a god. That's how he became famous. But as a wrestler its the same shit. HHH has the same match one on one whether its a match on smackdown or a wrestlemania main event. Punch, kick, high knee pedegree. Enjoy :)
I agree it's entertaining as hell. I disagree with him about 1/3 the time, but he's got this hilarious deadpan delivery of bitter condescension that I can't help but enjoy it even when I completely disagree.
Hardly honest, I am a fan, but he cheated on his 1st wife. And he also flip flops worse than a career politician, he was all gratitude when WCW took care of his bereavement with Owen Hart's death, but then when he goes back to WWE, he shits on his past career in WCW. Granted, they didn't see him through to his full creative potential in WCW. But they didn't exploit him or stop him from taking care of family matters after his brother's death.
He let his gimmick go to his head man; he for some reason thought he deserved to the baby face his whole career and that’s why he got “screwed” at survivor series! No one can’t deny his skill in the ring one of the best ever no doubt. But backstage he wouldn’t put people over more times then he would admit and cheated on his wife constantly. Far from a role model as the other guy said
Bret just tells the truth. When my Pops(God Rest His Soul)heard the clip of what Bret said about Martha,he laughed his ass off pertaining to the "It's the SHITS!!!" comment
I used to think of it as Bret being whiny, but now that I've gotten older I've realized just how many terrible people are in this world. Bret just has the balls to call people on their BS in public, period.
Bret and Shawn confirmed they were friends on the road when they were in each others tag teams. Bret came from wrestling royalty so he came in the WWE with cache and was also a hard worker. Shawn even said he supported Bret winning the title because it opened the door for smaller wrestlers to make it. I also think Bret just sees Shawn as selfish but he was openly an ass to everyone and on drugs. Triple H was pretty much straight edged and played the game and was sneakier. Even Shawn had problems with Triple H at one point.
Best part of growing up is realizing guys like him and Cornette are not "haters" for the sake of it. They just despise the fact that the wrestling business is full of fucking idiots inside and outside the locker room
@@cngotham4111 Michaels lost to Hart 3 separate times and the only 2 times Hart lost to HBK was screwy finish (The Iron Man Match which went into sudden death and I Quit where Hart's mother quit on his behalf). Yet Hart refused to lose to Michaels when he was leaving because he wanted to preserve his fake undefeated streak in Canada
@@cngotham4111 I think he meant recreational, Nash has said multiple times how Triple H never really drank much or did pills. Obviously, he was on a shit load of PEDs like roids and HGH though.
To anyone who thinks that we here at Workin' Punch Productions are trying to "bury" Bret with this video, you are mistaken. We agree with most of what Bret says and honestly find his icy cold delivery very entertaining. Long live the Hitman.
+dalila melendez  Everyone says that Nash is a cool, laid-back easy going guy as long as he wasn't around the Kliq. They say of all the members of the Kliq he was the friendliest one; all you mostly ever heard about Michaels, Hall and Waltman was about how pilled up and out of it they were most of the time, when Waltman wasn't busy shitting in people's bags or dinner boxes and NOBODY in the locker room liked Hall. A lot of other wrestlers felt that he kind of looked like he was bullied into a lot stuff by Michaels and Hall. I actually liked him as WWF champion back in 1995 despite the shape that the company was in at the time (Mantaur, Xanta Claus, Tekno Team 2000???). He sure had the look of being a champ. If you ask me, a lot of times during his WCW run, he looked bored, and about the time he had backstage power the company was sinking anyway and just did what he wanted. If upper management didn't give a damn what happened on Nitro, why should he, hence the Fingerpoke Of Doom. I did mark out when I heard his entrance music at the 2011 Royal Rumble and he entered as Diesel though.
+Workin' Punch Productions It only makes sense to string together the Hitman bashing everyone in the business. He has talked almost as shit as Corny(who you should do next!). This really showcases the bitterness. A lot of it justified, but at some point, you gotta let it go. Props to him for being honest, but it seems to be eating him up.
Bret, as critical as he is, never criticizes Shawn as a wrestler. Speaks volumes about how good Shawn was. Hogan would probably rather jump off a bridge than admit that two little guys were the best.
@@ADG.Est.1988 Which is fine if Hogan could be self aware but he's made a living making sure is the ONLY person allowed to make money. Marketing is the product but also about, well, marketing. Hogan's gone over every goddamn person twice, of course he made money. Just my two cents.
If Shawn was such a great wrestler why did nobody pay to see him wrestle? If Hogan was such a bad wrestler then why is he the biggest draw of all time?
@@johneastwood3039 The debate as to who's the best ever is clearly subjective. To me, Shawn is so clearly in a class by himself that it is mind-boggling when someone suggests otherwise. However, there are many people who clearly feel this way about other legends.
@Damien Jones That’s not necessarily true. Prior you had great bouts involving AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle. You had Christopher Daniels and a lot of the X Division which had been laying the groundwork for a unique product distinct from the established alternative. TNA always kinda felt like a refugee camp for the Monday Night Wars with Jeff Jarret and Sting, etc - but even that wasn’t automatically bad. Sting had a good run there for a while as an established vet. It was a slow-burn, not necessarily steady but for a couple of years TNA was on a good path that might’ve made them financially viable and a tangible alternative within the decade. Especially given how WWE would experience a waning period. Hogan brought quick, intense buzz. It brought the eyes of the curious and those eyes came - they saw the sideshow - and they promptly found the egress. It was short lived buzz. That’s not inherently bad, a lot of those eyes might’ve come for Hogan but stayed for other aspects of the product but they had to change the product substantially to secure Hogan - so what you have is a catch 22. Bring in Hogan to get some quick, helpful buzz and bring new eyes to the product - but to bag Hogan you have to change that product, which throws things into disarray and gives little cause for wish-washy newcomers to stay while also pissing off many longtime viewers.
@@joeysbestfriend2614 I know right lol. What that guy said is pretty much, "When I die, my great grandfather will tell everyone how much of a cool guy I was."
Bret Hart on Hulk Hogan’s racist tirade: “He’s probably glad Roddy Piper died so that it could take the edge off of that.” Simply put, the best burial ever.
Crazy thing is Bret is 100% on the money with all of his comments, Bret Hart has earned the right to be as god damn bitter as he wants. This guy was the embodiment of what a champion should be.
@@starofthemidnight5411 backfired then, backfires now. Out of it the world got Mr. McMahon/Austin, which means Bret gave us the best angle in WWF history, giving creatively even after he left.
@@dingdong7610 hilariously HHH gave us that feud in a sort of way. He was meant to win the 96 rumble and get a big push but the curtain call happened so Austin won King of the Ring instead and gave the austin 3:16 promo
I’m a big Triple H fan, and I always acknowledge that yeah, he wasn’t the draw, he wasn’t the guy people wanted to see, he was the guy who worked with the guy people wanted to see. But that’s kinda the point. I think even he knew what his strengths and weaknesses were, which is why he was a heel most of his career. And what is the number one job of a heel? Making sure the babyface looks good. And that he did. Rock, Austin, Foley, Benoit, Batista, he made everyone who feuded with him and came out on top look like a million bucks.
I like how with HBK the man he’s always pitted against in the media, he only talks about for 45 seconds and then for HHH he buried him for 4 minutes lmaooo
its probably because as much as he hates (or hated) Shawn as a man he respects his in ring ability. HHH on the other hand Bret dislikes in both regards
What was the heat that Roddy gave? Popularity or was exposing the steroid scandal in wwe at that time. I loved Roddy. What a great anti-hero for wresling. Stone cold did the same thing.
That’s fine. As long as that “telling it like it is” translates to you being real about your issues as well. It can’t always be everyone else. And at least other guys will admit mess ups or bitter moments
"Technical is one thing, but sometimes it can be a deterrent. Like Dean Malenko was technical, but he never drew a dime. He was just a wrestler who did a lot of fancy moves - you need more than that"
Fast forward to 2021 and we got spotfests engineers running the 2nd biggest promotion in the US with their legendary best wrestler of all time as face of the company, sixty-nineing his manager on screen
he got nuclear heat heel turning in the USA and starting face in Canada for the start of Montreal feud. kept the heat all over america and baby face love in Canada all the way til the Montreal screwjob after that he was more over then jeff hardy in 09,yes movement and Cody Rhodes after Samoan hogan tried to take his spot against knockoff Samoan reign of terror trips.
"You look at someone like Hunter, you know, and I mean what has he ever really...........................Done?" Bret is a legend. My favorite pro wrestler of all time!
The thing is, Bret has earned the respect and right to say all these things. Whether you agree with him or not, especially on Dean Malenko, he’s more than earned the right to speak his thoughts.
*"Here's these bodybuilders and... who likes bodybuilders? I mean, talk about zeroes in life, you know? I mean, there's nothing.. I can't say anything good about bodybuilders at all. What a total waste of your life, you know?"* JEEZUS BRET TELL US HOW YOU REALLY FEEL LMAO
The thing about Bret is he's allowed to bury people because he walked the walk. He was the biggest wrestler around for a while and still respected those around him
@@jamalwalker04The years him and shawn were on top definitely were a downtrend for wrestling, a lot if companies shut down around the time. But the fact that WWF was still standing strong in those years and not going out business says a lot about their drawing power
@@jamalwalker04So what though. Drawing power is subjective to appealing to marks. People thought Rock was great. It was all poopy jokes and catch phrases. It never impressed me and his moves sucked and were repetitive.
say what you will about Bret but he is brutally honest. I used to think he was bitter, but now I appreciate his honest assessment. Most guys especially top guys will never give honest answers.
yea listen to an eric bishoff interview. he will dance around every question, careful to protect himself at all times with the most vague answers. I like the real shit. Scott steiner keeps it real too. Nash is a guy that you know lies a lot.
Mad respect to guys like Bret Hart and Jim Cornette who have ZERO issue being honest about their former co-workers. That's a big no no in show biz but it shows a true person.
"Kids ... so when the whole kids thing started, there were these kids. Talk about zeros in life. They're idiots. Does anyone actually like kids? They're too skinny. I mean, who cares. No one cares. Talk about a total waste of life. There's nothing special about ... you know, all they do is play games all day. There's nothing special about them. I don't see any ability or skill in it at all. They don't care about what's right. They're all about themselves and getting what they want. You know, they think they're so great, but what have they ever ... done?"
Those kids are just so overrated. I mean, I honestly can't think of any great matches they had. I'm trying to like them these days but what have they done? Theyre mediocre at best. Like a 3 out of 10.
He is right Triple H is definitely overrated. His best matches ever were with Mick Foley, the same matches that made him a main eventer. Foley even in his later years had great matches with Orton and Edge and made them both stars in the process so that's a testament to Mick. But yeah Triple H will always be second fiddle to HBK no matter who he married.
Well; he is only rellevant because of that nothing else We would not be seeing him on WWE if he was any other wrestler. But he hung with the right click and fucked the right chick
Old Ironsides the man was one of the most loyal and valuable guys to WWE but got slotted aside by the cliq. Think about all the bad things that happened to him after as well. The man has taken so much shit it’s natural he’s bitter about some of it.
People might think its him being bitter, I don't think it is, most of what he's saying is verified by many people. WCW was run badly, Goldberg did hurt people, Triple H is overrated, Russo is an idiot, TNA lost so much after Hogan and Bischoff got involved, Ric Flair was told by Vince that he wasn't wrestling right, which was why Flair left, when he came back to WWE, he had a whole big segment with Vince where he addresses that.Vince does keep a bunch of yes men around to tell others what to do, anyone who speaks there mind gets sent home.
+Josh S triple h is massively over-rated in my book, goldberg dont get me wrong i liked him growing up but hes another Ryback, TNA turned into another WCW
I wish the wrestling world had more honest people like Bret Hart. He just tells it like it is without any fear of burning bridges or hurting anyone's feelings.
I can't remember the PPV, but i have an amazing memory of Bret coming out and as he walked round the ring, he gave a little down syndrome kid who was sitting front row his glasses! This kid is in disbelief and just turns to the camera and gives the biggest smile you've ever seen. It makes me tear up just thinking about it! Bret Hart is a living legend!
GG Allin idk if AJ would’ve been ready in 2006 or else in a position to be pushed like he is now in WWE. He’s always been An amazing wrestler but His stint in NJPW, aligned with the BC, while not super long was super important to getting to the WWE and being taken seriously
I mostly agree with him on HHH. A good, hard-working wrestler for sure, but he was so obviously inferior to the other Attitude-era main-eventers. He didn't have The Rock's mic ability, he didn't have Stone Cold's personality, he didn't have Mankind's pain tolerance, he didn't have Undertaker's agility and he didn't have Kane's strength. No wonder the ratings decreased.
What are you talking about HHH is arguably the best Heel in WWE History, and the way he put on a match inside the ring working on certain body parts was unmatched. They called him Cerebral for a reason. And add to that he has his own signature weapon. Don’t be a Mark
Great job. This shit is classic. I love his scathing views, most of which are justified I'm sure. Lots of people like to shit on Bret, but I think he's one of the greatest of all time.
HHH, as Jim Cornette puts it, is the guy who worked with the guys that brought the money. Austin, The Rock, Undertaker, Cena, Michaels, Hogan and so on. Good at the mic, good wrestler, just NEVER great.
@@yoyo2ma520 If my memory doesn't betray me, he was talking about the length of said promos during his infamous run, to which I agree. Cornette has never considered HHH nowhere near the top guys (hogan, michaels, Hart, Austin, Taker, The rock, Flair and even Cena) but he doesn't hate him either. His definition of HHH being "a guy who worked with THE guys" is pretty much accurate. The problem was when HHH was THE guy during his reign of terror.
Everything Bret said about Triple H is 100% on point. As a huge Shawn Michaels fan I’d say this objectively. If I were a wrestler back in the mid 90s… while I grew up idolizing HBK. I know for a fact that I would have hated him and probably hung out with Bret. You can just tell how genuine Bret is as a person and how believable he is. He’s the Canadian Captain America
The world doesn't deserve Bret. He's been through so much, nobody could handle it. Can't call him bitter because he lost Owen and was screwed over, had a stroke, etc... Toughest man and he deserves all the respect! Also, "IT'S THE SHITS" is the funniest sit ever haha!
The PublicImage agreed. I enjoyed watching his matches. The problem with Bret was that as good a wrestler as he was, he wasn’t a good entertainer. Just naturally a serious guy.
Matson G I think Owen was like the opposite of Brett, had a great sense of humor, “the king of pranks” etc. But was also an amazingly talented wrestler. R.I.P. 🙏
Somebody He’s right too. If Triple H wasn’t one of the guys running the show no one would give a fuck about them. WWE also tries to hype DX as this huge thing but at the time they weren’t. Especially after Sean Michaels left.
Also triple h, praised tic flair hundred times more then flair deserved flair is great but he promoted ten flair dvds before one for savage or piper and how many ceremonies of praise has flair gotten because of HHHs direction it’s sickening
Bret's right. Triple H is damn overrated. A corporate asskisser, kissed the right asses, made the right friends, married his way to success and slept his way to the top. What else has he ever done? Sure he's great on the mic and a good heel, but he lacks true wrestling talent. What's he do, the knee drop, the pedigree and hit guys with the sledgehammer? And he is the true Undertaker in the world of wrestling, he's buried more talent than anyone else.
And even to this day he is jealous of guys like The Rock and Steve Austin because of how great they were and how over they were, something HHH will never know about (aside from when he returned in 2002 but that was only 1 night).
I'm not disagreeing with anything you say except for the fact that he isn't a good wrestler...he is in fact good bordering on great...his work is solid and believable and he is a hell of a ring general and could lead almost anyone to a serviceable watchable match...I say almost cuz I witnessed the abortion of a match he had with kozlov at survivor series 2008 in person and the only good thing I can say about that shit show was edge and Jeff Hardys involvement
Sure Triple H has made innovative moves, just not in the ring, but sexually innovative. His innovative sexual moves have propelled him to the McMahon family and the heir to Mr. McMahon's throne.
+Chris Booker Triple H was involved behind the scenes way before he got with Stephanie, it was called the Kliq and its the only reason he's where he is today really. I don't hate Triple H, but in reality, before he got involved with them, find me on big Hunter Hearst Helmsley moment
HHH's titles are not important, he was the heel for Austin, taker, rock, Batista, Orton, Benoit, etc. He kept the belt so that the names mentioned could be great heroes. Ofcourse he is 4/10 as a wrestler. Most of his accomplishments came because he was clever enough to score Shawn, Nash, Vince, Shane and ultimately Stephanie.
My issue with all the aew stans is how they all seemingly have ALWAYS been there supporting non-WWE wrestling companies yet Hogan's and Bischoff's TNA, post-Era of honor ROH and PWG were really struggling at the time.
Another thing that is pretty known but not Greatly known worldwide is the fact that Bret as well as mentoring and guiding, also saved and stood up for Dwayne (Rocky Maivia as he was then)from the backstabbing bullies “The Kliq” who were plotting their Politics and trying to hold him back, Bret was one of the boys, a loyal and honest man 💪🟣⚪️⚫️ 💀
