@@4363HASHMI Markman wouldn’t last two more in the UFC Guys Don Frye and Tito Ortiz and GSP and Chuck Liddell would’ve whipped his ass Fake wrestling isn’t going to save him Look at CM Puke
I will always and forever love bret. Favorite all time. The pink and black attack is iconic, you can’t tell the story of wrestling without Bret. Triple crown winner in multiple promotions, grand slam champion in wwe. True definition of a legend
In fairness he was 43. He had been wrestling since he was a teenager and was in WWF in the 80s. He had a long run. Shawn Michaels retired at age 45, just 2 years older than what Bret was. Now the concussions and eventual stroke are not a way to go into retirement, that was awful but as far as age, and when he started, he had a good run. Stone Cold retired at 38.
@watchreport even if that's the case, in the next two years, he could have had great matches. He retired right before great wrestlers like Eddie, jericho, benoit, and all came to the scene. Bret vs Eddie bret vs jericho as a passing the torch match and most importantly, bret vs Kurt angle, one of the greatest match to have never been a match.
Thank you making this reel. Bret Hart is an important piece of wrestling history without which a lot many things could not have made sense to us right now.
@MihaiAlexandruPreda better than ric flair. Ric wrestled way out of his prime. Bret still had a lot left in his tank, and after wcw gone, he could have gone to wwf and had matches with Eddie guerero, rey mysterio and most importantly...bret hart vs Kurt angle.
@@shahsadsaadu5817 eddie and kurt were 10-11 years younger than bret and bret was in his 40's when he retired...he was not in his prime anymore...eddie and kurt were faster
@MihaiAlexandruPreda it's still bret hart my dude. He's a technician with solid wrestling fundamentals. He can wrestle even if he is not in his athletic peak. Daniel Bryan and hiroshi tanahashi were able to wrestle like gods way after their prime.
I had the privilege to meet both Bret the Hitman Hart and Jim the Anvil Neidhart inside the Florin Mall in Sacramento. Both looked like giants walking inside the mall and I met both of them sitting inside a Chinese restaurant. They order a 6 pack of Coors light beer. They both signed my Positive Thinking book I bought. This was in 1995.
Bret has been my hero since 1990 when I was 5 years old. Dude is the GOAT !!! I’ve met Bret twice, once in person and once on FaceTime. Afterwards he sent me personalized, signed photos/posters/signed hitman glasses and a signed Hitman Winged Eagle belt. Bret is an amazing person as well as one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of boots.
Seeing that long Gap when he didn't wrestle is sad. I wonder what would have happened if he never got injured or screwed in the WWE. So many potential classics
My childhood hero. He was my Dusty, he was my Hogan, he was my Cena all rolled into the best wrestler that has ever laced up a pair of boots. Next life goal is to meet this man in person and tell him how he shaped a generation of kids like me to be the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be.
Bret was always told his size look and charisma kept him from being a bigger star. But from his strut to the ring to the way he carried himself, he comes off as the coolest in the room and it's not forced.
