Best division in football for a number of years back then. Dennis Green & the Vikings were also pretty good and Barry... WTH can you say about that guy? Sanders ran against so many HOF defensive players in that division (3 on the Bucs - Sapp, Brooks, and Lynch), it's amazing he got the numbers that he did.... in a shortened career no doubt. Best running back EVER!
@@Kashmirknight I live near Kevin in Florida. He was a great guy and was a good man by all accounts yet to my knowledge no cause of death has been released as of yet. His family suspects a heart attack. I never met Kevin, but know many who have and all I've heard was how decent of a guy he was to all.
They had respect for each other back in the day as well. Two warriors going at it. Should be like that today, but it's not. When Sapp and Farve talk about the love of the game, they mean it. When guys say that now, they are more money motivated. I guess I can't blame them though. If you're a great player, you should be compensated. Still. There's nothing like the old school guys.
This guy was just a different breed. As great as Rodgers is and I do mean great I’ll take Favre over him every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Brett was a pure leader, Aaron never will be. Guys would kill for Brett, Aaron couldn’t get his guys to get him coffee.
yeah, something about aaron he lacks........ on the field Aaron is the better qb player, athlete. but he cant do the team part like Farve. Many say Aaron go to Patriots he be amazing. i honestly think he get benched or traded 6 games in.... he just doesnt seem to have that team mentality. Im great, your not is kinda what i hear from him. and i like aaron and the packers.
I disagree, I think they have two different styles of leadership. Favre was very very charismatic, very personable, very relatable. He was the guy you could imagine being an uncle who could toss a football hard enough to crack your ribs. AR on the other hand, seems to lead more by action or quietly behind the scenes. I don't question AR's leadership since the bleacher report came out and most of AR's teammates and former teammates came out and publicly stated they had his back, there was a lot of love for him from his teammates, and that tells me all I need to know.
In the Era that him and others played in, that's when football was football, I don't know what to call it except political correctness foozball is of the debul! Quote unquote.
29 for 41 sacked 8 times 2TDs 0INTs with a passer rating of 103.9 I feel like even if I didn’t know the quarterback I could take one look at that stat line and tell you that could only ever be a Brett Favre stat line
The Great ole days! NFL talent the last 5 years is so horrible. We’ll never see such greatness at QB. More than half the league had HOF QBs playing at the same time.
I'm a bears fan, can we get a break. First we had to deal with Favre, then AR. So for the last 30 years green bay has been kicking our ass. Always had respect for Brett, he made me smile cause even after the big hit was put on him, he would just hop up smack the guy on the head and play like he was still in the back yard. Aaron on the other hand I didn't like until Pat McAfee pod cast. Now I see him in a little different light. He's not that bad of a guy. I think he is more to himself when it comes to answering reporters. Just my two cents. But still GO BEARS.
I remember the Black & Blue division. Shame they did the realignment after the Bucs defense came into its own. Bret Favre - The Gunslinger one hell of a football player. He and Sapp were like kids out there.
Joe Andruzzi is the guy who has three brothers who were first responders for the FDNY on 9/11. He himself came to the rescue of an injured woman after the Boston Marathon bombing. He is also a cancer survivor. He should have his own episode of "A Football Life."
Say whatever you want about Warren Sapp, but I will say these two things… 1. Sapp usually COULD back up his trash talk. 2. He may have been an ass at times, but Warren Sapp is an INFINITELY FAR BETTER *man* than that POS Ndomukong #Suh (of the #Lions) ever will be.
Brett Farve was tough. I have seen him in a game. Where he got two front teeth knocked out. He went to the side lines for one play. Next play went back in and threw a touchdown pass. That is toughness there. I put him in with the best, Marino, Peyton, Brady, Young, Eli.
dont get me wrong Warren was damned beast. but my guy was John Randle at the DT position in the 90's. wasnt a Minnesota or Tampa Bay fan but they both were great players
Brett Favre is the epitome of a GOOD AND DECENT HUMAN BEING! He played Professional Football with the wonder and excitement of a child! He would have played football even if he wasn’t being paid! He lived for the competition! That’s why it took him so long to finally retire.............he just loved playing that much and didn’t want to hand up his cleats! FAVRE IS ONE OF A KIND!
@@letsgobrandon3928 That’s WISCONSIN, and have been a Packer fan my whole life! Yes, Favre was addicted to pain medication in the past which almost broke up his marriage! However, his wife stuck by him and they have a Wonderful Family with two Beautiful Daughters! I guess I’m wondering what other information you have which would tell me that Brett is not a “Good Guy”! There’s an old saying guy and it says that “people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones”! I don’t doubt for a second that you live in a Glass House! Actually, I think you are a JERK!
Yup. I'll never forgive that hit on Chad Clifton. The ball was at least 20yds downfield, Clifton wasn't even looking and that shot legitimately jeopardized his career. Fuck Warren Sapp.
My mother still loves you!! Please pray for us!! We have terrible divorce going on in Indiana.... 👀and this son I put up for adoption is in trouble.... Bless his heart!!
He was great, yes, but his career was cut short so you can't compare him with Sapp since he played a full career and proved his worth by winning it all in 2002. Sapp in his prime was a force to be reckoned with. He alone disrupted offensive lines and allowed Simeon Rice to stack up on sacks and Barber/Kelly interceptions with his QB pressure.
Bible also talks about ethnic cleansing, how to beat your slaves, that women were magically created by the rib of a man, and to kill a man if he works on a Sunday. Anything else you'd like to add?
Bill M are you kidding me?? The only different about him is white hair. He's in better shape now than when he played, look him up on google. He got ripped as fuck
