Nice recognition of Majkowski, who was a spark plug to the Packers. We all loved him. Had Holmgren not left Green Bay and continued to discipline Favre, Brett's career would have been even more dazzling. Mike Sherman was not right for Favre the way Holmgren was.

Hard to say Rodgers is unquestionably better. Look at 2017 and 18, before you say "Rodgers was injured" thats exactly my point. The best ability is availability... Favre played every day (and made it to one more super bowl than Rodgers). Brett also only had one losing season when he played the full year. (and he was on the Jets for a year)

Why is Mike Holmgren not even considered a Hall of Fame head coach the guy developed one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time Brett Favre but not only just my favorite quarterback. When he sadly left Green Bay and went to Seattle he developed Matt Hasselbeck who had been the backup quarterback for Favre for a couple of years in Green Bay. Like come on how is this guy not even considered an NFL Hall of Fame head coach yet!?

@davejohnson7432
@davejohnson7432 5 лет назад
A quality control coach measures the wall thickness of their players bones, gauges the players to make sure there nose holes aren't oversized, that they don't have any breakouts or moving steel on them, that there's no washout in areas where there shouldn't be....no mismatch that would effect them, no build up by the A hole....it's basically a visual inspection plus gauging

Depends on Glanville. If he still gets fired in '92 (I believe) I'm sure June Jones--a bright offensive mind--would've helped hone favre's considerable talent. If ATL made it to the playoffs in '95 w/ Jeff George, there's no doubt they're a major NFC factor with a motivated, in-shape Favre, who would've had Andre Rison for full seasons rather than 6 games.

People who say Aaron is better are clearly not lifelong Packer fans. Pre-1992 we were awful. Awful since 1968. Favre carried the team till we got Reggie White. Favre created an atmos[here of winning where I grew up expecting to lose 10 games. Since 92, Packer fans started expecting to win it all. I still remember the day we lost to Shitcago 61-7. I walked miles in the snow to a Radio Shack to see the score only to be heartbroken. Almost 40 years later that was how we felt about being a Packer fan. That feeling is coming back and has been since 2011. Until we get a defense again( MIA since 2010) we will continue to fail.

I thought I remembered Ron Wolf first asking Bill Parcells if he was interested in returning to coaching in 1992. 1:38 3:16 if instant replay existed that year that play doesn’t happen 3:33 Ron Wolf says his biggest regret was not hiring this man to replace Holmgren in 1999, was seduced by someone with Head Coaching experience, realized mistake after 1999 season and admitted it and made the change ASAP, before a bad culture could return 5:03 Brett Favre said Don Majkowski was a better athlete than he was. Wolf always planned to trade for Brett Favre, Brett was close to being a New York Jet in 1991 according to Wolf if Falcons hadn’t grabbed him a pick before Jets in 2nd round. In fact when Wolf was hired to replace Tom Braatz last 3rd of 1991 season Packers played in Atlanta and told Bob Harlan to watch Falcon’s pregame practice and watch Favre, since he would not end up playing in game.

So sorry, but the FACTS ARE Holmgren's heart was always in Seattle, where he lost another Super Bowl. Super Bowl XXXII was the shock of a lifetime as the Packers crushed the 49ers to get there, only to become the out of breath, Swiss Cheese Defense that let the Broncos walk all over them and shame them for the history books! After the loss Favre said that his offense scored enough to win. Yes true, but as a team they lose and this is one Super Bowl they should NEVER have lost! The following years Favre's late NFC championship game blunders cost the Packers more Super Bowl chances. In the Rogers era, it's the same story as the Packers, unfortunately have become Overrated Underachievers! Super Bowl XXXII blunders and being denied a Super Bowl at least 5 times with Favre and Rodgers will always be a black eyes fo the Packer franchise! Coaching, yes Pederson is a classic with his Eagle's Super Bowl win and now Reid and the Chiefs. Amazing.

How is the NFL going to fine Evan Engram for a celebration? Zeke Elliot can get away with beating his wife or something like that but Evan Engram can't do a celebration? Can someone tell me what was so bad about the celebration that would cause the NFL to fine Evan Engram $12,154? What was so bad about the celebration, I really want to know

New rule added this year. Any player excessively celebrating gets fined. which is an addition too the personal foul penalty

wulffy54914 That's the thing. He barely even celebrated at all. It wasn't a full on a celebration, he did like one tiny moved and stopped

It's not like that coaching tree was that good. Most of those assistants that became coaches sucked the big one. The truly great one that kept that show going is Holmgreen.

Andy Reid..1 Super bowl and 5 championship games..Pedersen 1 SB win. Gruden 1 SB win and 3 champuonship games...Marriuchi 1 champuonship game..greatest tree of all time? probably not..but ;"sucking the big one"? Puh..leaassee...not even close

Brett Favre is better than Aaron Rodger both won 1 super bowl, but Favre played in 2 Super Bowls in a row. Aaron Rodgers can't seem to make it back to the super bowl

Brett Favre is one if not they most overrated players in history. Also the most self centered people as well. 7 times in the off season he said he might retire only to show at the end of training camp. Sickest of all his sabotage of the hall a fame game over the weekend of his hall of fame ceremony in canton.
