When Brett "retired" then came back, it divided a franchise, a city, a state, a fan base. There were some who said Brett was "holding the Packers hostage" with the retirement stuff. Others believed since he(Favre) was our "Legend" he had the right. But when Green Bay WOULDN'T let Brett back, then sh*t got REAL. Fans became irate. People HATED the Packers front office. They hated A.Rodgers who had NOTHING to do with any of it. Rodgers got booed. Favre ends up in New York. I myself became a Jets fan. Odd yeah!?!? I had a #4 Jets away jersey. I didn't watch the Packers that year very much. I fell into the "angry" group. Then Brett left NY, and went to MINNESOTA.!?!?!?!?!?!? WTFH?? I was now confused. But I loved Favre and when Minnesota whipped GB twice the first year I was, well it was bittersweet. As time went on and more info was released, the "revenge" factor Favre had going was a bit much. Again the fans were divided. But seeing Favre in Purple was too much for some. When Favre lost the playoff game at the end of his 1st season with the Vikings people said HAH KARMA. Was it? ??????? Who knows. I know this....BOTH Green Bay's front office AND AND AND AND Brett Favre handled the entire thing poorly. Because of it A.Rodgers got booed when he had nothing to do with any of it. One of the most LOYAL FAN BASES became a mess and honestly IT SUCKED. Those three years sucked to be a Packer fan.

Favre is the best. He was easily the most fun player to watch play the game.

Asking questions the public never thought about asking and getting a genuinely interesting answer would be the most rewarding part of giving interviews. Favre held the Packers hostage every offseason for several years leading up to his retirement. Always wavering on whether he was coming back or not. They had finally had enough, rightfully so.

I was at the NFC championship against the Giants! At the time we didn't know it was Favre's last game as a Packer.. but it was still the most somber exit we ever took from Lambeau Field!!

Brett was seconds away from winning the NFC championship in New Orleans. One bad moment of inattentiveness in the pass to Sydney rice ended the game. I think that was his toughest moment. But I am glad got a super bowl ring with Green Bay in 1996. But could not get the second one. Even with this mistakes he was one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history

I still wonder how things woulda went if Favre left Green Bay simply because he believed Aaron was ready for the job, but then stayed with the Jets. Maybe Packer fans wouldn't have boo'd him if the Packers and Jets played at Lambeau? I don't know. It just woulda been nice if all the drama didn't happen. But what happened happened. Nothing can change that.

Favre could've played till he was 60 with today's rules protecting the QB, Favre was the last old school QB that took the hits and never cried or whined about it, now all the QB'S are wimps who whine every time they're touched.

Brett is a very emotional man. Played with great passion. Gave terse remarks to reporters after games. Montana had to go to the Chiefs. Peyton Manning went to the Broncos. Brett was doing well with the Jets, until injuries started adding up. The Vikings game, throwing the long touchdown into the end zone to win the game was great. The Saints game = bounty pay. Sean Peyton should have been kicked out of the NFL for life for doing such a thing. Vikings should have won and gone to the Super Bowl. Broncos Super Bowl = Shannahan dirty tricks, Davis as a decoy with a concussion. Packers should have won. Now Brett sees Brady/Belichek success. Brett’s high school team won the state championship, a wonderful achievement under the guidance of Brett. Stick with that. A family man, Deanna always worried about Brett on the field getting injured. Ted Thompson moves and talks like a man suffering from head injury. Montana got involved with race horses, never hear from him.

I remember that press conference, the TV was on at work, and it was heart breaking witnessing that history.

How do you land these high profile interviews?

From 1992 when Brett came to the Packers until this past year with Rodgers, the Pack have squandered 2 of the all time quarterbacks careers by never giving either much help. Between the two, in 28 years of elite QB play they have 4 super bowl appearances and a ring a piece, that's pitiful and all on the managements shoulders.

So many players wind up injured and spending years of retirement in pain from football injuries. I think you should be happy he got out rich and physically healthy

Brett just another human being and made a choice at the moment of his own failure feeling I could've played better. But Brett gave 16 yrs error is present even at his level. God bless you Brett your one of the best and that can't be re wrote. You just didn't have a bullet arm but you had charisma and energy that brought the fans a great moment in life to watch you and cheer you on. Your loved by many and your family has you everyday. Your blessed you lived a dream more then many could imagine. You brought joy to many homes on game day. Oh and the pizza stores Chinese stores etc etc. 😋😃

I can understand both sides. Favre not sure if he's done yet and GB trying to figure what direction to go. If only it was handled better on both sides. I believe Favre realizes now that he should've done more reflecting and thinking of whether or not he was done. Seems like he didn't do enough or any at all. I also think that GB should have given him a deadline. That way, both of them know when it will for certain be over for him and when they will hand over the reigns (to Rodgers). So, yeah - mistakes on both sides.

Looking back I think Favre was misunderstood during this saga. He just loved the game and leaving it behind when he thinks he still has gas left in the tank is really difficult. With that said, regardless of how Rodgers panned out, the Packers did the right thing by moving on. Favre at the time was 38, which was considered ancient back then, and Rodgers was stuck on the bench for two years. It just made more sense to see what the young guy can do.

Farve looks like he has the 1000 yard stare. His mannerisms and the way he carries himself are that of a combat vet. Guy is tougher than nails.

I do feel bad for Favre about how his time at Green Bay came to an end.

Packers forced Favre to make decision early knowing he wouldn't commit or retire and they could move on to Aaron as Ted Thompson wanted. Will Blackmon, former Packer, said everyone on the team knew that was why the Packers asked for a decision early. It was obvious because the off season moves didn't change and then you look at like the Broncos giving Elway all off season to decide. If they wanted him they would have allowed to take his time as the Broncos did.

Favre is just looking at it from his own point of view. Salary caps dictate that a team can't really afford to keep two top QB's on the payroll (with one of them being on the bench) or the rest of the team will be under-paid and some of the best players might walk. So, either Favre or Rodgers had to go for the Packers to remain competitive. Given that Favre was past his prime and didn't have many seasons left in him, it was an easy choice to make. This entire scenario could have been avoided though if Aaron Rodgers would have been drafted in the top 3, like he should have been.

I wish he would of sat on the bench and mentored aaron better. This way he would have always been in Green Bay. Brett is one of the best QBs in history, with the most hart out there. He should have finished on the Packers. We were his team, and will always love him.

And I don't want to really point this out and make it seem like I'm picking up Brett far but I'm not going to sit here and play Blind because I also and still do suffer from vicodin addiction I do take it due to my back injury neck and shoulders basically cervical thoracic and Lumbar I have six discs that are bulging and just generated I've had rhizotomy symphysis injections where they burn the nerves to stop the pain I take meloxicam clonazepam for my anxiety and panic attacks I take Flexeril for muscle spasms and cramps and I take Vicodin 10.325 mg and I am prescribed 180 pills a month so I can understand everything to the T where and what Brett Favre saying! But because at this present time I have been on a two-week Journey backing off these medications you cannot cold-turkey these medications is bad for your health that can cause a heart attack and because I suffered a super ventricular tachycardia 9 years ago that's why I don't cold turkey and plus I cannot it is hard I am not seeking medical attention I'm trying to do this on my own Brett far is and has inspired me. But if you look at his body language his hand movements his facial expressions the way he sitting it looks like it may have and will have a long-term effect on them and that's scary and I hope I'm wrong but my eyes tells me that Brett Favre may still be suffering with this disease this addiction although he may not be taking any kind of pain medication but his mind his program to what the medication just like my mind and body is right now I went from taking 6 a day to now I'm taking four and a half a day and waiting 6 hours for the next dosage when I was taking them every 4 hours it's hard and just going from 4 hours to 6 hours there's a two-hour difference between the fourth and sixth hour my body is begging me for the dosage and that's sometimes I take half a pill two kind of kill with my body is asking me for instead of giving a full dose I give it a partial dose and it helps leave flexerils helps with that but it's hard as f*** I've been taking these medications for over 15 years and it's hard I just hope that what I see in bread for in this video is just the after fact of what remains from what he went through through his career and in in his life. and if Brett Favre if you ever see this message or this text and you are going to that you have the means you have the money to seek professional counseling and treatment I'm not saying to take any more medicines but if there is that little thought in in this mine where his body orn and the thoughts is saying I just want to take one pill to ease this pain don't do it it's not worth it brother you're young and you're strong you have family and you have reasons for not taking any more of this medicine that kills people we all love you we all support you and thank you for being honest about this addiction and what you went through I'll be praying for you and I hope anybody to see this message or this text prays for me also because I've been praying for a long time and it seems like the more I pray the more I want to take this medication or I do take this medication sometimes I run out and I have in the past and I've gone out and bought some off the streets and they're going for $10 a f****** pill and when you buy 30 or 40 that's a goddamn truck payment Lexi no 300-400 sometimes even $500 a month and I'm already getting 180 pills a month so Tech on worst-case scenario 50 pills more that's 230 pills that's almost like taking 8 and 1/2 pills per day but I will be honest it's been over seven months I have not done that and I'm proud I can say that but I'm still battling my addiction without seeking medical and professional attention I'm trying to do this on my own at my pace as my body responds to how I'm doing it and sometimes I sleep 14 15 hours a day on purpose so that I don't take any pills while I am asleep but when I wake up I have to take one or one and a half or two pills just to get energy in my body just like an upper and then it lasts for like two-and-a-half 3 hours and then it makes you stay up all night it doesn't make you sleepy the way it does at first when you start taking this medication this medication when your body is addicted to it when you take it and gives you a it's like an upper or a testosterone where you feel strong and you can do this and you can do that and you want to do this and you go do that but once it wears off your sluggish and sometimes when I see my doctor they give me a questionnaire paper where they asked if you feel energy when you take this pills do you lose any sleep over these pills or does it cause you to lose sleep it's horrible because when you take two pills it can make you stay up 12:16 hours and you can take a 24 hour dosage of medication within six to eight hours of those 12 to 16 hours that you're awake and then you sleep for another 14 15 16 hours and then you're when you wake up you wake up because your body's aching your shoulders are hurting from being asleep in the same position then you take the pill you take one or two you take the clonazepam you take the Flexeril you take the meloxicam and all those combined together at one time which you can take my doctor has told me I can I'll take it and within 15-20 minutes I feel well rested with Lottery energy I go out and cut the yard wash my truck do laundry clean the house wash clothes I do everything but once it wears off I'm f***** I got to take another dose and the thing is when you take a dose of this medication if you're hungry and you eat that feeling that you get from taking this medication goes away so when I take the medication I don't need until it wears off and then I eat and then I have to wait like six or seven hours before I can take another one because if I don't wait that long I won't feel the effect that I'm looking for you're chasing the first High or are you looking for that chemical release that your brain does when you're on drugs I don't know the correct name of it I can't remember right now it's like the euphuria effect there's some chemical that your brain releases into your system and it just makes you feel like you're freaking 18 to 24 years old you know it's like you're full of to testosterone you you're full of energy you're full of life everything is good everything is dandy everything is perfect that's how I feel I'm not going to lie maybe this full help someone else just like Brett far he's helping me with this by listening to me this video so if anybody wants to respond back to me give me any feedback or any opinion that's fine I may get ridiculed, and get slammed I make it made fun of I don't care I knew that before I posted this up and I'm ready follows negative remarks I'll use that as fuel to help me beat this addiction so all comments and responses are welcomed! thank you and He didn t retire early, his last season he didn t look good. Arm strength was gone and he wasn t the same qb. He shouldve retired a year earlier than he did. Its hard for an athlete to know when to quit.
