Not only is it great seeing Brett as Brett, but also Deanna as well...plus I still crack up with the Double-Bag, especially with the accent..."I would've double-baigged it" Awesome that it's on here since it has been years since this ad aired.
Brett Favre's "I would have double bagged it" has stuck with me ever since. I still quote it (in his voice) whenever I'm second-guessing someone's method. 😆
Exactly. The Packers put a gun to his head right after the NFC title game loss and said "ARE YOU IN OR ARE YOU OUT????ANSWER NOW!!!!!!!!" Favre did the only thing he could do. He wasn't sure he was coming back so he said he wasn't. Better to say your not coming back and end up coming back than the other way around.
With a sprained ankle and 2 guys 10 yards up and you could run oh i say 3 yds past the line before you get clobbered or go with these odds: 40% catches ball 43 yrd field goal 35%You throw its incomplete and you try a 56 yarder 30% its picked you go to overtime ] 5% its picked they get a field goal and win 10%: you Make a 56 yard field goal with Ryan longwell 85%: You miss the field goal 5% It gets blocked and returned for a TD So....
So in fifteen years we went from recognizing what is priceless To defending it because everybody "makes mistakes" Ever since Trump, people defend dumb actions instead of making fun of them or being embarrassed by them.
The funny thing is, everyone in Green Bay gets drunk after the Packers win at home. On Mondays no one goes to work, because it's still the weekend for them, and recovering from hangovers.
@domanduke I guess they hate him because of early Madden games. Favre always destroys an honest record of all-win-no-lost record. Ending up with meeting (mostly) Packers at championship. Nah I kid. Of course.
i get what your saying. But who has had more of an impact? I think both are great, they just accomplished a few different things. For instance, the SB GB team had a pretty good defense. When did Miami really have one? Or alot of talent to supplement Marino? I think Marino did alot more with less. Farve happened to, i think, got blessed with a few better pieces around him at times. I think they are both amazing. =]
@jeffbrister2004 Yeah, seven weeks after the loss is "right after". You DO realize the next season starts 3/1 right? Evaluations of the prior year are done and then the decisions about who to keep and let go, and what the draft needs are, and what to do in free agency? ALL THAT takes place THEN. So poor old Brett just couldn't make up is lil' ol' mind! Only pinheads think the season starts 9/1. GM's and HC's have a YEAR ROUND JOB TO DO. Forgive them for wanting an answer from a subordinate.
@pogowhat But he somehow RAN out to his right and threw back across his body, leaving his feet, landing and coming to a controlled jog-stop, but he couldn't 1) run five more yards and slide on his good side 2) THROW THE DAMN BALL OUT OF BOUNDS. What he did was the VERY LAST thing you want to do in that situation. Just about everyone who has watched more than two quarters of football knows it. Except the dwindling Favre excuse makers.
This goes to you and crazyjared2: There are SIXTEEN examples of his name spelled correcty--one of them in rather LARGE type. Why are both of you misspelling his name? I could see if it was 1992 and there were people that misspelled it all the time, but give me a break. I can tell that both of you aren't true bleed-green-and-gold Packer-Backers, but, jeez.
I would have stayed off the beer and pills and tried to bring a level of discipline to my job. I would have paid more attention to my own job and put my energy there instead of trying to tell my bosses' boss what to do. I would have assessed my situation with the associations I was in and made a man's decision instead of acting like a bloated chick with the monthly cramps.
They don't have this commercial series anymore because the average person has become this stupid. The average person is one of these idiots from the commercial. The average person or at least enough of the masses gets offended by the commercial making fun of the way they just are everyday, so that they literally don't do these commercials anymore because the average person is offended due to rejecting critical thinking.
