No quarterback was ever that much fun to watch. For the 2 years he went to the super bowl with GB I’ve never seen anyone make passes that accurate since then there could be 4 guys on Andre Rison and he could pinpoint it perfectly so it was right in his receivers hands

@@YeUtopia1 I'm sorry but you cant be the greatest when you make as many dumb mistakes as he did. Part of being a great quarterback is making smart decisions. Hes top 10 but nowhere near the greatest.

@@RevanLaughs you better believe I am. All Favre had to do was run. And he was rolling out so dont say he couldnt run. Again it's one of those dumb mistakes that he was known for. And let's talk about Adrian Peterson's fumbles. He fumbled twice neither of which the Saints recovered. You know who did lose a fumble to the Saints? Brett Favre. Granted that was on a hand off exchange so its 50/50 at that point.

I hate this fake news about Maddens gushing love for Favre . Favre earned all the praise he got from all the TV announcers who loved to watch him play . Madden was a Cowboys fan and covered them with Pat Summerall for a long long time not a Packers fan . Madden talked up Favre when he covered his games but so did every announcer on tV and radio because he was the greatest QB of that era even if other modern on air personalities of today don't want to say that . Favre was won more games than anyone else who played during his time as a Packers QB and after . He was great to anyone who watched ! He was the greatest Packers player ever next to Bart Starr and just because of how his career ended he gets overlooked . Had he won the Denver super bowl with his team he would be ranked higher .

A big part of leadership is inspiration. Rodgers is more consistent than Favre, but if I am playing a team statistically better than my team I want Favre at the helm because he will inspire the others to play above their skill set. The difference between Rodgers and Favre: If you're down 21 points in the 4th Rodgers: will pad his stats, play it safe and you'll likely lose by 14. Favre: You're winning or loosing by 42.
@Dasimers
@Dasimers 4 года назад
Tell that to the bears last year.
@bobbymarr1297
@bobbymarr1297 4 года назад
@@Dasimers I mean there's 11 active QBs with more game winning drives and 15 with more comebacks. That's all dispite the fact he's the 6th oldest starting QB in the league. For comparison Russell Wilson has started for 4 less years and been in the NFL for half as long as Rogers and Wilson has 3 more comebacks and 3 more game winning drives.
@OJspencer22
@OJspencer22 4 года назад
I get the spirit of this post because 4 was more wreckless but 12 doesn't exactly play it safe, he probably has as few comebacks as he's had because when you throw as many touchdowns as he does and as few interceptions it's hard to be losing in the first place
@bobbymarr1297
@bobbymarr1297 4 года назад
@@OJspencer22 I hear that argument a lot, but GB hasn't exactly been 14-2 each year. Using Wilson as a comp again Rogers win percentage is 63.3% regular season with Wilson's at 67%.

I am from Lima - Peru, I used to live in South Louisiana for about 7 years until 2010, due to a transnational company, however at that time I did not understand this game at all; but thanks to Brett Favre I could understand the game easily, he got such a good talent to throw the ball that I was amazed he had that artillery cannon on his right arm.. very easy way of playing and very accurate passes.. he is my favorite NFL player of all times and I was a fan of GB Packers of course.. best regards from Peru.

Brett Favre is an anomaly. For how wild he was as a passer it's a miracle he had any success at all. But that's what makes Favre, Favre. This dude made those absurd "wtf" type plays that Mahimes gets credit for today before anyone else in league history. Strongest arm since Marino, great accuracy even if he threw it to covered receivers often, and a passion for the game I've never seen as strongly in any other player. He was truly the Iron Man gunslinger, and boy is he fun to watch. Rodgers had arguably the best possible QB to sit behind for 3 years. With his accuracy and athletic ability, seeing how Favre was able to sling it was really good for his aggressive passing game. Packers fans really are blessed to have those two back to back, it's just a shame we only have 2 rings to show for it.

The only other throw I saw with more juice was the attempted hail mary throw before halftime in the Game the night after Brett's dad died . It was a 70 yard rope that hit the field goal post and bent it ! Favre had an arm like no one ever before of since !
