The pod used, Bianco Doppio, is a double espresso (2.7 oz) shot and it is too light for strong flavor espresso drinkers. I suggest trying it with the 2.7 oz "Cafecito de Puerto Rico" double espresso pod (intensity 10) or the 1.35 oz "Diavolitto" espresso pod (intensity 11). The "Altissio" espresso shot tastes fabulous too (strong and lot of body).
Ive got the creatista pro and the part i like is you can prepare the milk and coffee at the same time. It takes about 45secs to make. Smalller pods are cheaper. Im not sure about this. Price is relative. Some people blow $2000+ a year on take aways
Sorry, you can hit both buttons at the same time but it will do one then the other automatically. I hit the milk and then the brew and it’ll do my milk in a couple seconds and automatically start brewing the espresso which takes a little longer depending on the size of the pod.
I think these pods are single shots. So 9 grams of coffee and less. So usually a double shot in a latte. It will taste a bit weak. Not sure if they have double shot options??
You are paying a lot the frother part. You can pick up a Vertuo machine and separate (better) frother for a third of the price. Bring the price down and I might consider.
In my view Vertu is just a trial from Nespresso to monopolies the pods again , it has a very slight edge in terms of strength and crema over the original pods that is not worth upgrade or change , I like the original ones with the tons of varieties available even at groceries ( and not being locked to Mr Nespresso ) , also the original Creatista looks more compact and much thought of machine , it was a real creatista as the names said as one can really create and customize his drink, this is my opinion
Vertuo pods offer larger size drinks though. I like a proper mug of coffee, so the 230ml pods and above will allow that. You can even make a carafe of coffee.
@@Gadgetonomy that's why I chose the Vertuo. I initially ordered the Creatista Pro. But there was a delivery snafu and they issued a refund. During the time I was waiting for the machine, I did more investigation and determined that the Vertuo would be a better option for us because my wife likes a regular sized cup of coffee, while I prefer espresso. So I ordered the Vertuo and I love the machine. Hopefully after a little more time passes the patents on the Vertuno capsules will expire and other will offer them.
It hurt my heart to see you dump the whole milk container into your "espresso." The whole point of the machine is to allow the user to be expressive in how the milk is added. Otherwise you should just get a Latissima. Also. That's not crema. It's just foam. The Vertuo is basically just a centrifuge. James Hoffman did an amazing reverse engineering of a Vertuo machine where he showed he could get the same amazing "crema" from a blender.
Hard pass for 3 reasons. 1). Noisy, sounds like a leaf blower 2). Expensive for what it is. 3). Based on the 'Next' platform, which has numerous issues based on customer reviews and a class action lawsuit.
Respectfully disagree: Noise is subjective. This machine definitely is not on par with a leaf blower. Sounds more like a low humming . Expensive? Cheaper than visiting a coffee shop on a daily basis, This machine will pay for itself within months. Have not had issues with any Next gen products. There are variables outside of the unit that affect its performance, water hardness, decaling and maintenance, for example.
Also disagree. 1) Noise is all relative. Way quieter than any "real" espresso machine (of which I have one). 2) Maybe. My espresso machine is $1600, and this one serves a broader use case. 3) Is it? The Next's issues are isolated to the Next; all other machines do not have the same issue, so issues with the Next are likely not to manifest on this machine.
@@Satine_Moisant All the Vertuo machines are based on each other yet some have issues (Next) and others don't. This machine has great reviews so far, it doesn't seem like people are having issues with it.
This machine is GARBAGE. I own one, and it constantly requires cleaning. It hardly ever stays connected to the app, which is required for cleaning. It is NOISY. Once in a while, pressing the button does nothing. The manual is CRAP. Stay away from this piece of crap.
