Hey. Love your videos but. Your audio is not balanced. One video it’s in my left ear next video it’s in right ear. But the intro is balanced. Might want to look at this some day because it’s frustrating. No other video so far does this but yours. Thank you.
Welcome back my friend. How is this manifold in terms of cleaning. I've used the SS wort recirculation manifold and like it but it is a pain to clean as grain gets trapped inside
Good to see you back with a very informative video about that manifold. I am thinking to purchase a BT B80 as well, a F80 is already waiting in the storage room. Hopefully I can brew on the end of this year again. Your videos inspires me to buy a B80 for sure. Thanks for the info about the manifold! Cheers Bradley!
I finally used the manifold yesterday, its a huge improvement over the mash hat that came with the unit. I did put the tri-clamp on the rubber though, it worked well for me to keep the manifold even through the recirc during mash and sparge. I also used the laser cut filter for the first time, you are right, its a must have. Both for efficiency AND cleaning! Cheers!
@@PortlyGentleman you do a great job! I get your point about adjusting with sausage fingers, my hands took a 150 degree bath trying to adjust it the first time :)
@@PortlyGentleman Doing well. I’ve been a little on and off brewing for a bit. I was named the new Head Football coach for the HS I teach at. Taken up quite a bit of my free lately. How is your new place? Sláinte
@@woodshedbrewingco.481 That's awesome! Got to be pretty rewarding. The new place is really good. Took me forever to get the brewery space dialed in. It's about 80% there I think 😂
I’m ready to order the B80 Pro but now that More( or less) beer is the sole source they do not offer many of the upgrades that you have demonstrated so well. For instance, the sparge manifold, the updated blue silicone fittings, etc. Any suggestions? Contacting them is less them satisfactory.
I don't know if I fully understand your question. Morebeer does Carrie some accessories but not all. It appears like some stuff still has to be purchased from Brewtools in Norway. Shipping time is usually pretty quick for the smaller items. Hopefully @morebeer has plans to expand their inventory.
He's aliiiiiive!!! Welcome back big guy, missed your wit and your knowledge. I let out a hell yeah when I realized what you've got behind you. Are you doing a video soon on it? I've been considering that RAPT fermentation chamber for over a year now and am still on the fence. I'm curious what fermenter you'd pair it with. I wanted to do 10 gallon batches with the 55L tri-conical but it won't fit the hop bong and still gave enough clearance inside the RAPT fridge, last I measured it's about an inch and a half too short, so it'd be an on-and-off thing moving in and out a full fermenter from that fridge, which didn't sound fun. I might just stick with the old method of a mesh bag of hops prepped inside the headspace of the triconical after wort transfer, and use a set of neodymium magnets to drop it when I'm ready to dry hop.
Welcome back!!!! I love the recirc manifold. Mash to sparge is easy peasy and my annoying friend that always tells me I am getting hot side aeration can now eat my shorts.
Welcome back! A great video as always. I am not sure I agree with deburring, at least not for everyone. All of the holes on my ring look very clean. I tried to deburr one anyway and made it worse. Unless you know what you are doing or see obvious burrs, I would stay away from deburring.
