This is a cool boiler for destilling with the heating element. Just add the usual collums to the top opening and you are ready to produce your own spirits. 🙂 Cheers!

Somewhat disappointing that you have to pay for accessories to have basic features like handles. Which surely are needed for safety on a pressure rated product.

@@lfcsponge there is no issue with selling accessories for products and making money. But I'm concerned about not providing the basics with the original product,

With all these accessories you're not that short of an F40
@themaltmiller8438
@themaltmiller8438 Год назад
Yes, you're right it's easy to get a little carried away with how much can be bolted on and that would certainly add up. We wanted to show what can be achieved with this tank though with the new accessories. Not everyone might want to get all these items but one or two ideas might help people use the MiniUni in a creative way. 👍🏻

A Ferrari F40?😄

I am totally unconvinced. No cooling is the killer and all these “features” are in my opinion nothing more than work arounds for a flawed product. The fermenters are great and way better than the SS but this…. I guess someone will love it.

Whilst it might not be for all we do know that BrewTools are working on further advances for this range to bring more features.

Lol, bruh this is for mid tier brewers who use fermentation chambers or keezers.A jacketed keg would be overengineered
@davidpinnington213
@davidpinnington213 Год назад
I see today the strong hints on a jacketed version is inbound - however still on the fence and waiting to see if there’s more to come in 24 - meantime a f40 or f80 is still my choice so I don’t roll around on the floor or reinforce my garage wall

Yes, the new jacketed minUnis are nice, but I'm deeply disappointed, that they weren't announced from the start. I would have bought the jacketed version if I knew it was coming.

It looks incredible. It will give the users a professional look and feel. But to be honest it offers nothing that I can't do with my keg and a chest freezer+heat belt. And like all brewtools its too rich for my blood.

So many ways to achieve the same or similar results, as with all things in the hobby. It's about preference and functionality, some folks want certain things from their equipment and others want to get the pro look and feel to their systems. None of it means you're beer would be better or worse as thats all down to us, the brewers 😉

Do they make pressure head with a thermowell?
@themaltmiller8438
@themaltmiller8438 Месяц назад
Not at present, the pressure head has lots of built in features. You can easily fit a thermowell to the tank though, via one of the other TC ports, if you go for the jacketed version.

Hi how do you remove heating element once fermentation is finished Without introducing oxidisation And drain off crud and yeast
@themaltmiller8438
@themaltmiller8438 11 месяцев назад
You won't (at present) be able to have a butterfly valve as well as the element. BrewTools are developing lots of new accessories so perhaps something will come that can accommodate heating and a dump valve.

How would you suggest to dryhop without oxidation?
@themaltmiller8438
@themaltmiller8438 10 месяцев назад
Currently the solution we would suggest is to use an alternative pressure system to the BrewTools one. For example if you use the BrewBuilt Pressure Kit, which has a built in 1.5" TC port, give you the ability to add some form of oxygen free dry hop solution like a Hopbong.

@@themaltmiller8438 Thank you. That is a great idea. I have a hop bong kit from kegland i did not know it is compatible. It solved my problems. 🍺
