Brexit Before and Beyond 

I deeply appreciate the Emo Adam Tooze. Epithets aside, the greatest contrast with the Tooze of today is this animating fear that drives a more aggressive and nervous tone. His statements have aged well, as we see those who oppose the international liberal order (both totalitarian and nationalist) paying lip service to an international illiberal order while doing nothing to organize a coherent coalition that does anything more than further their personal immediate interests.

Swexit is the only political issue that matters for me until my country is liberated :)

Adam Tooze should stick to writing his excellent books, but his comments (e.g. Ghastly 17 million pensioners) about Brexit are breathtaking in their arrogance.

Tooze is not at his best here.
