On January 15th, 2013 I worked with the amazing BRIAN BLESSED on War of the Roses. After we finished work he gave me the opportunity of a life time, to interview him about Shakespeare, "I, Claudius", and "Flash Gordon".
There are two more interviews that I will upload as soon as time permits.

I love Brian Blessed. One of the finest coolest actors of my life time. Voltan was definitely my favorite part. Glad to see him. His hair has not changed color. I mean Im 45 and my damn beard is white nearly completely! And I have almost the same color hair lol. Bless you Brian Blessed.

I think Flash Gordon is getting more appreciation these days because there are so many sci-fi movies. Back when Flash Gordon was made Sci-Fi was rare and expensive and to waste a Sci-Fi movie on something Camp was probably not as appreciated as today when it's refreshing in it's simplicity.

I watched this movie in the BluRay disk just last night. Blessed was PERFECT for the role of Voltan in the movie! You can tell he really enjoyed being in that film.

Hey Gordon, thanks for this! I've always had a feeling that the awesome Brian Blessed is a cool guy and a great actor. I love the movie Flash Gordon, that film gets regularly played on my DVD player. In an age in which superhero movies place an emphasis on dark and grim, Flash Gordon is a breath of fresh air! I look forward to seeing more of your work. You just earned a new subscriber! :)

This dude gives alot of lip service to the movie but very humble about his part. IMHO he nailed it, just as well if not better than any other cast member. Without his Voltan , its less of a film...DDDDIIIVVVEEEEEEE

They have been remaking Flash for years and every time they do they keep making him more and more underwhelming. In the movie he “QUARTERBACK NY JETS” which is cool then he’s a track star and then a polo player. Ugh enough!
