I had the pleasure of workin with Mr Cox on Iron Will… almost 30 years ago. Nice man, good actor… I also worked with Johnny Depp on Don Juan DeMarco and Depp is one of the best technical film actors I’ve ever watched… I never saw him miss a mark. On film, an actor has to hit focus marks, lean in too far or too short.. you’re out of focus. Watching him with Brando was also great. Talking to Marlon Brando at that stage of his life was one of the highlights of my career.

I absolutely love Brian Cox ,I first saw him in Manhunter ,I thought then this guy is brilliant only took him over 30 years to get recognised .I have to disagree with his assessment of Depp being overrated.I don't particularly like Depp but I believe he is an extremely capable actor who could easily achieve more roles.

I have a HUGE ammount of respect for Brian Cox. Hadn't heard of his work until Succession and he is remarkable. I still think his comments on Depp were totally uncalled for but he seems like a really nice guy. Both are great actors with their respective legacy and reputation. If you have nothing positive to say about a peer, it's better not to say anything

It's funny how his accent falls apart in some places. He started out American/ Canadian then slipped into some UK dialect. In some parts, it's like he has to rangle it back across the ocean. I love the interplay of accents, and even better, transitioning between languages.

I have to say, I'm impressed with his chomping that 🍎! Days a lot for Hollywood's dentists. 😄 Brian, you won't see this, but you have one line ( re: the dog) in "Long Kiss Goodnight" that is one of my favorite iconic/ comedic moments in film. The dialogue, the delivery are just the best. Continued good fortune, sir!

The fact that he questions Johnny having actual loyal legitimate fans, even jokingly, shows his comments came from a place of jealously. Johnny is loved because he is an honest, caring, and genuine person faults and all. He earned the respect of many by just being a good person, and alot of people hate that to the point where they would blindly believe false allegations or try to diminish his impactful career. Mr Depp is responsible for million and billion dollar franchises, far from overrated. And now Mr. Cox has to eat his words.

I think going after Johnny so harshly during a time he's going through hell just to promote his book was lame. And of course he had to go after the fans, because it's so hard to believe people just want to defend a guy whose career and mental health has been ruined unfairly. I really still not sure who Brian Cox is, and don't care for him. Brian should be ashamed to knock down Johnny Depp. JOHNNY IS FANTASTIC. He is outstanding with all his talent. I don’t think Brian meant harm in his memoir. He is an industry titan and I’m sure he has seen more of our faves up close and for a long time. I’m not surprised he’s got many honest things to say
