Through the physical expression of the dance form Krump, Henry dances, explodes and chest pumps, sharing with us how the artform of Krumping is specific, expressive and language.
Brian Henry, also know as HallowDreamz, is a Brooklyn Buck/Krump dancer from Bed-Stuy Brooklyn NY who was known for his audition on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (season 8). He calls his personal Krump style BROOKLYN BUCK. Brian started Krumping in 2004. Inspired by Mijo and Tight Eyez "The creators", Brian has been pushing the Krump movement in N.Y.C. since 2008, when he joined E.S.K. (East Street Kingdom, a branch of the group STREET KINGDOM founded by Tight Eyez. Brian has taught at EXPG, Broadway Dance Center, PMT, and many more. Recently featured in Madonna's music video "Bitch, I'm Madonna and A$Ap Ferg & Liam Bailey's "Villain". Brian also has experience in Ballet, Modern, contemporary, and African. Which makes him one of the most sought after Krump teacher.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

I said this YEARS ago that Krumping is a lot like a language only expressed in the form of physical expression when some fans of older more Traditional forms of dance like Breaking, Tutting, popping & Voguing, tapping & ballet, would often try to argue that krumping wasn't a real art form or a real dance form simply because they couldn't understand it.

To be honest I never thought KRUMP is that deep, used to think its all about anger and fighting someone. Gotta learn this some time, I think I'll love it so much.

Wow. Just wow. I think the NYT description that his "moves are human lightning and thunder" is pretty apt. Edit: Sorry, it looks like that description is credited to the choreographer Andrea Miller and paraphrased as well as quote by NYT in their story.

Explaining a dance style called krumping. He's explaining each movement to the audience so they're able to see its not random crazy movements but a deeper story. If he breaks it down bit by bit with the words on the screen behind him the audience can now follow why he chooses those movements. He says it in the beginning this dance style is his way of communicating whether it's his thoughts, emotions, or his reality of every day life.

Bizarre. Outlandish. I also feel kinda bad for the people who were there.

Jens Wieth why feel bad for people who WANTED to be there? And why criticize an artform just because you don’t understand or appreciate it... That is the mindset the stunts progression...
