Always loved watching Brian laudrup play 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧was a great signing for rangers wish he never left to go to Chelsea but that's life still a great guy always gets a warm welcome when he comes back home 🔴⚪💙
One of the greatest international players of all time. Always performed in every big international stage he played in. Euro92, Confeds95, Euro96, World Cup 98.
James Alcorn know it’s 2 years ago you wrote this .. he probably were, felt like he deserved more. He could have taken the leap for a bigger club for sure.
wiki invader oh yea that’s right! I completely forgot about that. Like proper club men that just love the club that they wound up in, is like just a thing in the past now. At least regarding great players. With the exception of Messi. There are a few others, but it is really dropped significantly. There is something about it. Even though I could be heavily against a team, clubmen was just something you always could just respect.
@@brianlaudrupchannel Milan tried to lower the price for Laudrup by benching him the most of his loan period. Whenever he played for AC Milan he really outshined the rest of the Milan players.. The dark side of football nobody speaks about!
It was an honor to watch those brothers carreers both on television and live. Two players with a skill ill never see on my national team again. They do however owe me a television as i broke mine when the news broke about them both stopping on the national team after the brazil game lol.
As a Rangers fan I can honestly say that Laudrup could run faster with the ball at his foot than every other player on the pitch without the ball, LEGEND!!
More support from his coaches/clubs early on, and he would have been one of his generations very best. Most purely talented danish footballer, i have ever seen.
You could mention so much more. I swear videos on Brian laudrup are very negative. He was a superb player for Brondby in and out of the team before making the move to a big league. 1st season in germany Danish player of the year, had a great individual second season in Germany with Bayern, had an injury hit 3rd season in Germany but still won Danish player of the year and rated 5th best in the world, euro 92 team of the tournament, had a good individual season in Italy scoring several goals and getting many assists Laudrup was involved in a lot of Fiorentina goals. Milan on loan didn't get many chances, 95 confederations cup winner crowned best player of tournement, won 2 more Danish player of the year at rangers among other scottish awards, World cup 98 team of the tournament, 3 times Balon D'or nominee. The Chelsea situation ruined his reputation
My glasses my be rose tainted, as I'm Danish, but I've never really seen anything really negative about Brian Laudrup, it's just that he will always stand in the shadow of his "decent" brother, if his name had been anything but Laudrup, he might have gotten more recognition.
What a player as was his brother.the ball would stick to his feet.i would watch a match just to see him play .pity he didnt play in the bigger leagues for longer.i didnt understand why he went to the scottish league when he did.
Sam Mortimer i think the pressure was getting to him to be honest.he found it very hard being in the spot light all of the time.denmark have had some brilliant players over the years.that team that won the european championship were very good dont know how they didnt qualify automatic though.
Very underated, he played very well for all his clubs, maybe apart from Copenhagen, he even had good games for Chelsea but on paper his club career does not look impressive as he had not many appearances for most due to fall outs at clubs. He did play well Fiorentina even if the team as a whole did not. It's sad people forget how good little Laudrup was. Definitely one of the most talented players Europe ever produced. But did not have the mental strength to stick with clubs who were going through bad times which caused him to have a much worse club CV than his big bro. More talented than michael in my opinion
Barcelona came in for this man and Walter Smith asked him to stay , his reply " i would rather play at dingwall on a rainy day " absolute legend of the game and probably Rangers FC greatest ever player .
billyblackburn87 Yeah, great player. The computer game came out before the actual tournament and Brian Laudrup had insane speed and finishing, something like 94 and 96. Way better than Klinsmann and Co. even though Germany won the tournament.
We should have won World cup that year, the danish team had so many great players... Schmeichel, Both Laudrup brothers, we had Stig toftig, Marc rieper, Martin Jorgensen, ebbe sand etc etc. Even today it hurts my heart that we didnt win both European cup and World cup back to back. :(
'In 1998 he finally took to the global stage..' Oh, so winning the European Championship in '92 is not regarded an achievement you mean?!? Shocked by the poor level of research and acknowledgement!
They also disregarded his first big move. Which was his first success proving he could perform at a top standard in his first season in the Bundesliga where he beat his (supposedly better bro) to Danish player of the year at Bayer Undigen.
No - If literal is the word then the qualifications is also a part of the tournament. But typical FIFA since Champions League, and the Euros, which is significally harder to win, are organized by their rival UEFA but are both VERY much a global stage to say the least! @@Gamepainter
Brian Laudruop was a good player but he was nowhere near as legendary as his older brother Michael Laudrup wh played and won with Barcelona and Real Madrid. Michael Ludrup shaped modern la masia academy. They say Xavi and Iniesta got their inspiration from Michael Ladrup and so did David Silva
@@brianlaudrupchannel Brians prime time was in scotland, the most boring leugue in the world. Michaels prime time was in spain, a leugue that is without a daubt much much harder.
Unfortunately, a player like Brian Laudrup never win a champions league, but im so sure if he stay at chelsea in 1999, Chelsea wil win the league season 1998-1999
Nigeria could have won that game but there were too cocky and they put on all the subs and wanted the good players to play in the quarterfinals sadly nigerias cockyness got them no where
Creper G - all the subs ????? - i think not - Nigeria didn't have any player at the level of Schmeicel and the Laudrup brothers - tactically africans just sucks - thats why they don't succeed.
Some of the players on the Nigerian team won the olympic football tournament in 1996, so it's bullshit saying they don't succeed. They beat Spain in the group stages and they had a European coach in 1998. All of their players save for one played in European clubs thus learning the European way of playing and tactics and shit, so I would say they just got cocky. Oh, I'm Danish too by the way.
They were nowhere near winning it. With double Laudrup and Schmeichel on the pitch no matter who they could have brought on wouldn't have changed much. Nigeria was outclassed by the Confederation Cup winners who just merely were beaten by Brazil later on..
Would not say that, Michael although he was not part of 1992 he still achieved more, He was on the team 1982-1994. Make hell of a difference and experienced a lot of success with the National teams troughs those periods.
@@Tbonyandsteak 1992 aside Brian was still better for the national side.Brian outperformed Michael in Confederation Cup 95, Euro 96 and World Cup 98. It's worth noting M.Laudrup never won Danish Player of the year ever again when his little bro came on the scene
If you want to look deeper into it, rewards are not worth anything, just what some have the opinion on someone. But does those really looked closer. I do not think so. Micheal had a view that Brian did not had. at least not in the same level. Michael played like player with 100 years of experience. He really made the correct choices far most of the times, simply out of this world. When you look upon what he actually doing. Sure you could say Brian was more engage, but Michael was the wiser.
