Brian wasn't content to be just 1/5 of a band, he wanted all the attention. And he demanded more, bigger singing parts, at the expense of Shane and especially Mark (can you imagine?). Brian left the band and just weeks later he dropped a solo album that he had secretly recorded behind their backs. He kept trash-talking the other boys to get attention and promo... only when his solo career tanked while Westlife kept soaring, he suddenly wanted back in. They're better off without Brian.
That was not actually I read about the reason of Brian left Westlife. Since Westlife recorded Mandy, Brian wanted Westlife to less sing cover songs and came to their boss with some songs he wrote. Unfortunately the company refused them. That was the great disappointment to him. Well, he was still young back then anyway. Maybe afterwards he tried to prove the company was wrong by sang the songs by himself. Unfortunately maybe Brian was none without Westlife. Now, it's only destiny brings him to the way he should be. I wonder if they reunite and make "Westlife and Brian". Isn't that cool? 😎
I love Brian but I felt a bit angry when he left the band to pursue his solo career. For sure he regretted leaving the band. I mean Westlife is still relevant and still selling out albums and stadiums even after 23 years.
I was one of those who wished that Brian get back with the band, but everytime I see this video - how the lads got so brokenhearted with him leaving, and remembering he did all of these just to pursue his solo career, I am thankful the boys did not need him to reunite the band. They are good as a 4-man band. I just wish Brian well 😞

Im not only a fan. bryan mcfadden is my inspiration, yes he's funny, but many people didnt know how deep he is. he has so many struggles in life . He is unconditional minded. you can say that on how he wrote his songs. He always wants something. in his 20's , he's still immature and don't know what he really wants , making decisions so fast , and do whatever he feels to do. Now he'd grown up, He had a lot of regrets especially leaving the band. But from all of that, he's still fighting this cruel world who'd always criticized him. He performed for living ofcourse. but not only for living , to bring back his lost dignity. he's so down to earth person and brave at the same time, he sang a westlife song for entertainment and money for sure but also he sang it to show how he regret leaving a band. (that's why he always offended everytime people talks about how he left the band) but on the other hand, he's so thankful for his remaining fans, and in his children. And now, also in his Girlfriend. i don't think he wants to be famous again , he just wants a happy life , no critism, forgiveness and perform as a westlife member again like how he used to be before.
They'll always be the best, no matter what. Not only incredibly talented, but also respectful, nice, an example for all the fans. I miss them so much and I still listen to all their music, they've been and will always be the soundtrack of my life. Forever in my heart.
Oh, My God.... when Kian said the words "we've shared laughters, weddings etc... bust most of all we've shared our dreams" I was totally hitted! I almost cry and I think I can't sleep with that words keep on echoing on my head.....

I truly believed Brian left to fix his family. Maybe he and his ex wife already have issues and he wanted to fix it by being around more. Unfortunately, it didnt work that's why they eventually broke up. Then he tried to went back on his feet by going solo but that didnt work out as well. I truly felt sorry for the hate. About him not supporting his daughter only him will be able to answer that.

Bryan made a big big mistakes for leaving westlife..look where westlife now..they are soaring high..getting bigger and bigger and more succesful..so im happy and grateful where they are now with out bryan..

You dont leave your family if you really think of them as your family. Its not an excuse. Then you go off and have your own solo career and now you wanna go back and rejoin them because it didnt went successful.. Nah ah thats not gonna happen. Its like death in a family and cannot be resurrected. Its really painful to watch and to hear even if its years ago.
whats a loss and a huge mistake he made to leave the band...he thought he was bigger than westlife...he jus wanted to embark on a solo career because he thought he is too good a singer but everything flopped..im glad the rest of the guys made it and they did very well without him..we wont take him back ..lol...i think westlife would have crushed if mark had left not brian..mark has this magical and great voice...so tough luck brian.............
Yes, Bryan thought he would be the next Beyoncé but he overestimated his own talent. It has always been Shane & Mark's voices that carry the band. If Mark left, the band would be kaput. Bryan? No one gave a flying fart.

I think everyone should from time to time consider leaving the band if the band is doing very well. Bryan's voice is superb and I miss him. It is OK for everyone to be independent as he/she grows. I just send cheers to every bird leaving its safe and warm nest.
All Brian said was lie, he left and hen he divorced Kerry. All I now is that he tried to set solo career for himself and the result is not as bright as he expected. At WL 10th years anniversary Brian wanted to take part in this event but all the rest of WL rejected him. Thats what he had to bear!

True, Brian is the Zayn Malik of the group. He didn't like the attention that Harry gets from the fans so that's why he left the group. Look at him now, he is still famous but his songs didn't get into charts. Kian also reminds me of Niall from One Direction. They are both sweet
@@myblackstar8642 nah man.. zayn had serious anxieties and mental issues. Zayn isn't a guy who likes the spotlight or fame a lot. He was sick of the hectic schedule, the management and not able to produces the songs he wrote.

Pero considero , al igual que muchos, que dejar WESTLIFE fue un terrible error del cual de seguro él se arrepiente. Cuando supe la noticia, uyyy en 2004 ,fue algo que me dejo confundido porque Kian dijo, al empezar su carrera ,que no querian ser un típica boyband, que ellos eran diferentes. Y por supuesto musicalmente eran diferentes a los otras boybands. Considere que esto era una herida mortal al grupo. Pero como ellos no son del montón resurgieron como el ave fenix y ahora nos traen HELLO MY LOVE y BETTER MAN con lo cual muestran que son lo mejor del pop en los ultimos 20 años.!

He gave all that up and yet he still never became a real presence in his daughters lives..Then he had the nerve to ask if they would forgive him and allow him to rejoin the group..I cannot blame them for saying NO! he left them in a situation that could have destroyed the band but thank God their talent made it even better without Brian..
Westlife isn't better without Brian. Brian was a big part of the group so his voice contributed to a lot of their success earlier. I don't think Bryan should have left! Celebrities can have a good relationship with their family and still work, look at the members of a lot of other boy bands.

I've put of watching this for eleven years, but I've now watched it and do wish I watched it sooner. The day Brian left Westlife my parents called me stupid, they didn't understand, Brian at this time was my favourite and then switched over to Shane and Mark.
Damn...I cried again during watching it..I always knew that Bryan will be the 1st one who will leave the band because already 2001 there were some rumours about it. BUT I am glad that my dear Nicky was right..they are still active and successful! That makes me happy ^^
It's easy for him to leave because he's not part of the original Westlife, he just auditioned. Maybe his dream is to become a solo artist, but he did not expect that he would just be a member of a band, and not the lead singer.

Yeah your right. We should understand him. We all know that being a band member is not easy. Mark said in an interview how hard it is to be in a band. You'll give the 90% time in your band and only 10% for your family.
