Brian May and Roger Taylor talk about Queen IMAX Rock Montreal - REACTION 

There's an older video of Roger & Brian watching and commenting on the entire concert. They recall and share lots of little details plus give props to John. It is, of course, the length of the concert but worth it for a fan. They performed "Keep Yourself Alive" (Freddie on tambourine) at Montreal 81; it was their first single. Check it out at the 1974 Rainbow show. Also, lots of hidden gems on their albums. Lyric versions: "Seaside Rendezvous", "The Millionaire Waltz", "Jealousy", "Brighton Rock", "Death on Two Legs", My Melancholy Blues". Thanks.

The film producer told the audience to keep as quiet as possible, this and telling the band to wear the same outfits for the two shows, (for continuity) is partly why Freddie was pi**ed off, and why he wore the shorts lol.

As someone else said the producer of the movie told the audience not to scream or move around too much. And he had a lot of security around making sure they didn’t. That’s why at one point Freddie says “you know if you want to shift your asses around a little it’s okay.” He wasn’t mad at the crowd. He was mad at the producer because he told Freddie and the band to sing exactly the same way and dress exactly the same way both nights. Hence the shorts the second night. Freddie was furious, after all it was a live show how could everything be exactly the same.

This is one of my favourite queen concerts along with live at wembley. I remember hearing about the crowd being told not to make noise and move around because they where filming really annoyed Freddie. Loved seeing Freddie playing crazy little thing called love on 12 string was cool when I saw this on vhs. Got to get this on blu ray for me now.

Hey Trevor .. Me & my granddaughter really enjoyed our IMAX Queen experience!! We were lucky to have Freddie’s former bodyguard/Darth Vader character there to do the honors presenting Rock Montreal to the theatre crowd! I think I mentioned that there is also a documentary in the works called PLAY THE GAME: Jock n Rock. The filmmaker was there as well. 🍿🍿🥤🥤

When will Queen’s IMax show come out again???? I really need to see it!!!!

My only complaint was the IMAX theater did not have it on their marquee. Talked to some other people around the US and they said the same thing. Not enough promotion for it and no name on the marquee!!! But otherwise it was awesome!!!!
