Brian May Talking About His 5 Year Depression (1987 - 1992) 

I am so so glad he got help!!! So much happened to him in such a short time and then he lost Freddie to top all the other bad stuff!!!!! So glad he found his way back!!!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️

When I got into Queen 5 years ago, I was exactly like Brian during this difficult time in his life. He and his music saved my life and I will forever be grateful to have him as my hero.

Mental health and depression are real struggles and it’s sad they still taboo in 2024, although it is getting more attention, it’s nowhere where it should be. Thank goodness Brian did recognize his depression struggles and he turned to music to help him find his way, “back to the light”. He has been very open with his depression struggles over the years and it breaks me heart when you want to reach out and give him a hug and let him know he is loved and admired by so many and he’s not alone in his fight against a real enemy within his head. I believe I’ve heard him in interviews say he does see a therapist on a regular basis and his healthy lifestyle of eating and exercise hopefully help him. Thank you for sharing this interview. Hopefully someone who’s struggling with something or some things will see this a know they will be okay and to keep working their way back to the light.

So proud of him for speaking out about his depression. It never should be a stigma. Love him for this.❤
