Interesting that even back then they were conflating the whole "fallow" period, which actually only lasted a year, not two. But I'm assuming this is why Brian recently stated that the scenes in BoRhap about the band not speaking and not playing for "years" was true even though chronologically it can be proven it wasn't.
I dont think its true; in the movie, they made it sound like they came together for live aid after years when they played concerts just a few months ago in late 1984.
I always got the impression that Brian didn't like Freddie too much or that he was jealous of him? What do you think? You sound like someone with a good knowledge of the band
@@daffodilyellow2430 The band would sometimes argue, but not to the point of hating each other in secret. Brian has known Freddie since 1969 and he was never "jealous" of the man.
November 82 (Japan tour) - July 83 (meeting in LA to discuss 'New Hampshire Hotel' soundtrack and arrange meet up for the next month to arrange starting to record The Works in August 83). They also had a whole South American Stadium tour in Autumn 83 that was pulled, who knows when that was booked? So it's 6-8 months max that they were apart.
