Dude this is crazy!! You’re a humble guy to be doing a tutorial on your song. That’s unheard of! Brian McKnight showing people how to play his song? That is unreal!!!
the very first chord instantly makes me emotional. i don’t know how i’m supposed to learn this song if i keep getting choked up everytime i hear it lol
Brian, We met many moons ago in 93 at a Sony music event in New York City, with Brownstone and I was with a group called the Funky Poets :) I marveled at your incredible talent then, and I have been one of your fans since I could remember. It is so wonderful that you are sharing your gift here with us...thank you.
Great job, Brian! I've been a fan since your first album back in 1992! For all of you musicians that can read music, his songbook really breaks down what he's doing, note for note as well! Brian you're definitely one of the G.O.A.T. at least in my opinion!
KevinstiblenBillyWilliamsTaylorWilliams and your excellent service now me and your company much better and keep me updated on the job search j look forward for future opportunities brain McKnight
I appreciate what you're doing Brian. Many gifted musicians will not take the time to help others grow. To whom much is given much is required and thank you for sharing.
... THIS IS HIS VERSION... - NOT THE STUDIO #REMASTEREDMIX - THERE'S MORE THAN ONE (1) WAY TO PLAY A SONG... - AND - ALWAYS PLAY WHAT MAKES YOU COMFORTABLE... - THERE ARE SOO MANY CHORDS/STYLES TO CHOOSE FROM - AND - ALWAYS REMEMBER TO HAVE #FUN
This song is so powerful!! My mother love this song an I played it like crazy for her!! She passed away now I can’t listen to it!! But thank you Brian McKnight for blessing us with your music!! I’m a big fan!
Mr. McKnight, I have been a huge fan of ur music since middle school, have all of ur albums, and now after over a year of piano lessons learning the basics of pentascales, pentatonics, I'm beyond excited that this song will be my first full piano composition to learn & master!! Thank u for ur incredible gift of exquisite music to us, much love from Seattle, Sir!! 🥰👏🙌🎹🎶🎵🎼💖
Just getting back on the piano and this is the first song that am teaching myself. I don't play anybody's music, but this one right here speaks to my spirit brother. Thank you for taking the time to share your blessing.
Wow...this was such a nice video. A tutorial by the composer and musician himself. The humility and passion you display is unmatched. Letting us see a little into your private studio in your home and a little into your musical pantry where you draw your flavor from. Even the small dog barking in the background gives the video a small glimpse into your life that shows the talented, gifted, humble, and sensitive man that you are.
Mr.Mcknight, sharing knowledge is a beautiful thing, moreover, you sharing cord structure so freely, what makes Brian Mcknight! Thank you, for something that not many artist in the industry would do! Again thank you.
My first time seeing this channel. Most of all I love that he obviously doesnt feel to big, huge, or large, to do these videos and inspire other who love music as well. So big ups B. For associating on this level !
Enjoyed the tutorial man it's a blessing to finally learn the actual way it's suppose to be played and I see you with the motif ES 8 underneath God Bless man!
This is so cool, i play guitar and was looking for a chord chart on this. after seeing you play it, i can come pretty close to the piano part on guitar. thanks, Brian. you are great in the tradition of Nat, Ray, Stevie, and Mike McD!
total legend! in my opinion the most talented writer and singer/performer I will get to experience in my lifetime.... got nothing but love for you BMCKnight
Ah, finally. A how-to video posted by the artist himself on YT. I think that this is a wonderful idea. I've been a lover of your music for so long. Thanks for the great art that you've shared with the world and the memories that it brought about to us. Is is too much to ask for a how-to-play video tutorial on your song "Here With You" from Gemini? Again, thanks and God bless for all your one-of-a-kind music talents. -King Molino from Reno, Nevada/Manila, Philippines
I remember when I learned the intro to Never Felt This Way..been a long time. To this day Brian Mcknight's self titled album is my #1 album of all time. I've never seen an album contain so many genres of music spread out across all its songs - fantastic..
brian mcknight needs to do a standards album: all the things you are, body and soul, round midnight, and play with guys like christian macbride, russell malone, george benson, and show the world what an amazing jazz musician he is. it would do very well. duets with tony bennett, diana krall, diane reeves, casandra wilson etc.
Dude, you are so talented. I've actually just recently started listening to you, and have fallen in love with your style. I'd love to play some of your music. I really appreciate the way you write man. I'd love to see some sheet music for "Ready to Learn" :P
In humility !!! I wish I had a chance to meet you. And to have help with these Guitar and Piano compositions. Didn't get to meet "~Prince~'. But, if could before I die/or perish. It would probably touch a brotha's heart/Spirits/Influence. Thank You for your spirit. 🙌🙌🙌 #Humble
My husband is a professional singer/songwriter/keyboard player. He plays by ear and can literally learn a song in minutes. I can't wait to hear him sing and play this song!
I have listened to your Version of Kenny Loggins song about 20 times today! My dream is to sing that w you once time before I'm dead. I'm 51 so we better hurry!♡♡
Love his approach to playing/ composing. This is a beautiful song I loved as a teen/young adult. I learned a one note per hand version by ear, but never got into the chords. Maybe it's time. 🙂
I have that intro as Bbmi7 - Db/Ab - Db/Gb - Ebmi7 - Cbma7 The crazy thing is that it changes key from Db major to Eb minor with that I/4 suspended Db as the pivot chord. Crazy man. Don’t even get me started on trying to sing it. Here I am thinking he’s in falsetto. Nope - just a masterful light textured mix into a low larynx. Let’s just say I’ve been very busy with this intro lately.
