I have seen Brian Orser skate live twice - once with the Tour of World Figure Skating Champions; once with Stars on Ice. With the latter, he skated this piece. Those who were among the die hard skating fans - myself included - knew this was his tribute to his mom. The arena was silent during the entire performance. One of my all time favorites.
One of the best skaters ever, and a Canadian legend. Even when I saw him skate live in 2004, he still had the tricks. He's continued his success through his coaching.
I have been fortunate enough to see Brian skate live twice. Brian remains my all time favourite skater. I can appreciate this program even more now since I lost my own precious mom. Brian laid his heart out there on the ice and it was a beautiful tribute.
Always loved this. The changed choreography shows how his life has changed since he first performed it. Brian is an a amazing skater, he had some rotten luck competing
Brian Orser is my favorite Canadian men's skater, and this is my favorite program of his. I also love that he skated to Neil Diamond's "Headed for the Future" as an encore in the 1988 tour of Champions on Ice. Thrilled that he is having so much success as a coach now. It's also so much fun to watch him "emote" & "skate" the programs with his students!
That was an amazing performance! Looked flawless to my "layman's" eye...such talent, beauty and poise, performed to the music of another amazingly talented man, Neil Diamond. One of my all-time favorite N.D. songs, too.
Great skater AND great teacher Yuzuru 2 gold medals and Javier 1 bronce medal and european Champions winer AND Worlds Champions winer. Brian Is one off the best skater off the World.
